Here is a picture of my 86 Saab for Sale that looks amazing cosmetically but as part of getting her ready for sale I discovered rust (pictured) and thus I'm not going to get my asking price until this can be resolved. My 8v 900 Turbo (5spd with APC, not modified to my knowledge) has had an odd boost issue ever since I got it a year ago. Not sure there are a lot of C900 owners/mechanics here but I thought I'd ask anyway since I suspect the problem is more of a general "80s car with a turbo" one. Basically, whenever I go wide open on the throttle to accelerate, boost comes on strong around 2500rpm, brushing the red part of the APC gauge, but it only lasts for maybe 3-400rpm before seemingly bleeding off and falling toward the bottom of the yellow portion of the gauge. I have a 2007 9-5 1.9 TiD wagon and have some weird clunking sound I believe comes from the rear suspension. I have looked online, and it seems there is a sagging spring/damper? Problem on the 9-5. I was wondering if it is worth fixing. I don’t want to spend a lot of money on this car. If I was to fix it, what parts would I need? and is it something i could do myself?
