Hey everyone. I’m not selling on Reddit. Figured I’d go ahead and make that clear. But I have decided to sell my Ruger 5.7. I’ve hardly used it and the owner before me has hardly used it as well. Since I’ve had it, it has remained in the case only to be brought out on occasion to shoot at the homemade gun range behind my house. The gun is in excellent condition. I have two magazines, a lock, a chamber flag, and the original case. What I want to know is how much is it worth. I remember seeing the msrp years back was 800 something dollars. But now that it’s used I’m unaware what it’s worth. An ..read more

Is the ar556 mpr really that loud?

I’ve been looking at getting one but I’ve heard that it’s muzzle brake or something like that makes the gun incredibly loud, I have land I can shoot on, on a farm but there are some holes in the distance and if it’s really that loud I’m kinda afraid it might get me in trouble. Then again, any gun is loud anyways. Also heard it’s incredibly loud indoors as well, I was looking at the standard model of the ar 556, that seems like a cool gun submitted by /u/Historical-Fudge7737 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Redhawk part help

Hello all. I recently acquired a 1989 Ruger Redhawk 44 Mag 7.5”. I took it apart to clean it well. I noticed this small pin had fallen out as I was taking it apart. I put it back in and tapped it a little bit. I was wondering is this might work its way loose when I go and shoot it due to recoil. I tried looking up the part # and cannot seem to find any solution online. I highlighted the area in the picture below. Thank you in advance https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/pwnqtzgir78ge9mv0frxv/Photo-Sep-17-2024-19-17-17.jpg?rlkey=orypgclb8f79wuwkwrozjyuew&dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/x4fsx ..read more

Here is what’s happening (not my video) https://youtube.com/shorts/VDNwdwkcDkk?si=-MyDQ5X9mLynDGBu Seems to work well with just 4 rounds in the magazine instead of 6. Usually happens on the first two rounds out of the 6. submitted by /u/Key-Lettuce2535 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Dirt/Rust/Machining Debris on Internal Parts?

I’m trying to figure out if anyone else has run into this with a new GP100: I bought a brand new GP100 a couple weeks ago and absolutely love it… now. But it took some work to get there. When I first got it home, it was very difficult to cock the hammer, pull the trigger, open the cylinder, press the ejector; and pushing in the return spring detent to pull out the trigger mechanism was incredibly difficult. After inspecting, I saw this grease and cleaned that all off. But then I noticed this rust-colored substance on my cleaning patches and it was EVERYWHERE in the internals-almost like this ..read more

RAP Stock/Chassis opinions

Looking for user opinions on a few different stock options. Getting a RAP 6.5CM and I want to build it into a primarily hunting rifle that can also do med-long range recreational shooting. I’m debating between a Bell Carlson, Magpul, or an Ultradyne Chassis. Anyone who has one or multiple of these. What’s your opinions on them? Mainly concerned about weight and ergonomics. The rest of the build is an Ultradyne muzzle break, trigger spring swap, and the AO bolt upgrades topped with a Vortex Diamondback tactical (getting upgraded to a Viper soon) submitted by /u/fakeaccountbro1 [visit reddit ..read more

MCarbo parts? Send off to Ruger? Something else?

Hey y'all. I've had my 9mm charger for about 6 months now and it's been incredibly unreliable. I usually can't get through a mag without at least one failure to eject. I've tried different mags and different lubricants after cleaning and neither has helped. Should I try swapping out some MCarbo parts such as the extractor and springs (that I was planning on doing anyway), or just contact Ruger now before messing with anything? Also should probably ask, anyone have experience with it being finicky for certain ammo? I've tried 115g from several different manufacturers with the same results. Tha ..read more
