I just recently moved onto my youngest son's property in rural east Mississippi (northwest Lauderdale county). We will build a shooting range as soon as the weather cools down a bit. It will be approximately 20 yards from my front door. Easy access is the key for my aging body. I own 3 personally built AR-15s, 1 Ruger American Pro 9mm, and just recently purchased a Ruger Mark IV Target 75th Anniversary Edition. What a blast it (Mk IV) is to shoot! Very accurate right out of the box...

When I started that project, I cleaned the front sight white dot with a Q-Tip and alcohol. Unfortunately the white dot came off. The Testor's florescent orange paint here is very thin. Online comments recommended a couple of coated BB s as agitators. I added them. Then recommendation was to leave the cap off 4-6 hours to let some of the soluble petroleum evaporate. I did that. Then took a small hair brush paint stick and dipped it into the...

Had some time today between my wife's PT appointments so I decided that the Faux Brass undercarriage on the SW needed some help. I recently acquired some Single Seven takeoffs from Threetwentyseven so I decided to make a One-of-a-kind SW.
The Stainless grip frame and BH style Hammer/Trigger fit the project nicely. I think the Black grips compliment the satin grip frame as well. Now to find the right holster and call this one done.

hey Everyone, it's been quite a while since I've stopped in. Unfortunately life and poor health has gotten in the way of hobbies and passions. With that being said I am now in a position to liquidate a bunch of my holdings. I have a collection of Rugers in both Wheel guns and pistols as well as my relloading equipment to part with.
Can someone point me in the right direction to research values so that when I list the guns I am in the right price point.
Thanks very Much ..read more

I just wanted to say that Ruger support team is awesome.
I had a SP101 .357 magnum that I just loved. My daughter was going to tge range and asked if she could take it and I gave her 100 rounds of .357 and 100 rounds of .38 Special.
She brought it back the next day. 2 chambers had .38 Special brass stuck in them. She said she only fired 35 rounds when this happened.
I used a wooden dowel to tap the brass out and started looking the gun over. I took pictures of things that didn't look right...

Hey everyone,
I’m excited (and a bit nervous) to share my very first firearm review and disassembly/reassembly video with you all. As someone who’s been passionate about firearms for years, I’ve finally taken the plunge into creating content around this hobby and would greatly appreciate your support and feedback.
The video features a detailed review of the Bauer Automatic .25, a classic pocket pistol that's small in size but big in reputation. I walk through its features, performance, and...

What should a new unfired SP101 bore look like?
I expected the surface of the lands and grooves to be smooth like other Ruger pistols I have.

I recently purchased a Mark II Competition Target from a local dealer. The trigger is gold, but I haven't seen a variant available with a gold trigger. Anyone have any guesses what it might be? Looks like a factory trigger, but I haven't picked it up yet so can't investigate ..read more

After searching the forum I found an old post that covered this but never got an answer? My father passed last year and in the stuff he left me I found a .22 standard pistol. I took it to a gun shop because I knew nothing about it. They took it apart and low and behold it is in great shape and shoots like new. It doesn't have a serial number on it and he estimated it was manufactured before 1948. They are a few nicks but there is no evidence that it had a number and it was removed. If it was...
