I bought this DAO P89 probably over 10 years ago. I've fired it here and there but usually shoot my DAO P94 when I feel like shooting a P gun I collect DAO hammer autos , I prefer them. I like DA/SAs too but the DAOs are unique pieces and I like every shot being the same. They run like a slide operated revolver. I recently bought a Max 9 with ReadyDot mounted. After about 30 rounds the slide stop kept engaging the slide in the rearmost position almost every shot and it required release by manually disengaging the slide stop. At the same time, the takedown plate dropped down and stayed down. A quick lifting of the frame insert from the grip frame shown that the slide stop spring slipped from the slide stop and now resided between the slide stop and the frame insert. Gonna try my luck this year with these types of critters. I will be using my Single Six 5.5 inch barrel. My brother has 20 acres of heavily wooded land with a nice creek running through it. So , second time out with my LCR 9mm…. Have shot 6 different factory loads. All have evidenced some bullet pull. All except…147 grain Federal hydra shok. Not surprised-it’s premium ammo. Also, when shot w/o a moon clip, the nickel cases just fall out of the charge hole. Good stuff ..read more

I just got a ruger American in 30-06. Had it cut down to 18" to make it more friendly for the suppressor thats on the way. Just took it the range and straight to having feeding issues. After a bit of looking at the issue. Seems as bolt pushes the round forward the back of the mag will release the round prior to the feed ramp alignment.
