I have been looking for a straight "English" stocked A5 for quite some time, but have only seen one or two for sale, and they both had enough warts to scare me off. I check GB and GunsInternational pretty regularly. Were these guns so rare that not many ever come up for sale? Thanks, Steve ..read more

I bought a 1963 Sweet 16 and it has a 28" barrel under the barrel it's got 16.7 stamped, and the bore measures 0.662" and the choke measures 0.32"the barrel has * for full choke everything is fine. I went and bought a 26" barrel for it and is marked **- which is an improved cylinder. The barrel markings show 16.9 _ 16.8 the bore is 0.668 and the choke measures 0.16".I think is modified. I am a little confused, The barrel is 1958 was there a difference in bore sizes both barrels are... sweet 16 ..read more

Hello all. I'm still looking for a nice Sako-Browning Safari in .243 and have run across this one with the pencil barrel. It looks very nice, but is missing the rear sight blade as can be seen from the picture. Is there any source for these old sight blades. I don't think I'll buy it if I can't fix the rear sight. Is the sight base screwed on or is it soldered on ..read more
