I'm so excited for this. Though am disappointed by lack of Wout and MVDP, and now lack of Betsema and Worst. I was kinda hoping Betsema would win women's race as she seems to always be second. But Vos v. Brand race should be good -- with others who could slip through ..read more

2022 Boone Sizing

Hi All, I have been racing a 2019 Super X SE for the past 3 cross seasons, size 55. Getting better each year and falling further in love with cross. I want to switch to a 2022 Boone for next season. Trek's sizing is strange. The size chart places me on a 58 that has a 57cm TT. The 56 Boone is almost exactly the same TT as the Super X at 55.8 cm. We are talking about small top tube length increase but I'm not sure why Trek suggests the longer bike. By Comparison the new Crux in 56... 2022 Boone Sizing ..read more

Slow leak in Tubular

The season is over, but noticed that I have a slow leak in my recently new tubular tire. The tire will drop about 5 psi in 4 hrs. After a day or more so the wheel is flat. I put the wheel in water, trying to find some bubbles, but nothing. Should I try get it repaired. Put more sealant in it? Just leave it, and the loss in pressure durring a race is marginal? Replace the tire altogether? Thanks ..read more

I have foot drop on my left foot. It's not problem to get into clipless pedals, but since I cannot turn my foot side to side it's tough to get out of them quickly. I would like to get into cyclocross, which pedals are the easiest to get in and out of? What type of shoe do I need to go along with those pedals? Thanks. -Links ..read more

Anyone has experience with Avid Shorty Ultimate brakes?

I have a Gary Fisher Presidio bike that I bought over a year ago which I like very much. I am not looking to change much on it as it works well for me as is. The only thing I dislike about it are the Avid Shorty 4 brakes. They are somewhat weak and require frequent pad readjustment as they wear. It appears from looking at the Avid Ultimate brakes that they have a linear travel as you pull the brake levers kind of like the old V brakes on mountain bikes do. If so, this would eliminate the... Specialized Diverge

This may sound a stupid question but I just would like peoples thoughts / procedures. I had a Tricross comp and that had quick release spindles. The bike was stolen and replaced by a Specialized diverge (insurance company). The Diverge has thru hub bolts. Now the stupid question: The manual states that the bolts should be checked with a torque wrench before riding (each ride), also that it would need torquing after say a puncture repair. Does anyone actually do this or expect that it should... Specialized Diverge ..read more
