On Super Bowl Sunday, I bid on and won another Browning Hi Power. This one is a "T" series from 1968, It has fixed sights and the magazine safety has been removed. It also has wrap-around wood grips. The only downside is that thanks to the "Gav" I won't be able to do paperwork until March 14 when this will be my 'gun of the month' for March. When this one does finally come home, it will be Hi Power #8 and also thanks to "Gav" and his 11% exise tax on guns and ammo will definitely be the last... I did it again ..read more

Just pondering some changes to my BM target rifle

I'm old school . Need some educated input . 22 LR of today pretty much suck & 10/22,,'s don't trill me except for the mini gun versions . Most modern 22's seem to have went to microgrooves instead of the super deep rifling of my Generation. This being said the old rifles would shoot anything into a quarter size group even the nasty bulk stuff( so to me that leaves out ammo manufacturers ). QUESTION of the day( because I can not find anyone who offer a replacement barrel for my Buck Mark... Just pondering some changes to my BM target rifle ..read more

Well as you can infer by my screen name, I like Brownings. I like lots of other stuff too, but the vast majority of my favorite hunting rifles are Brownings. My first bolt gun was a Medallion in .270 with. Leupold VX1 4-12X40. At 18 years old, I was living high on the hog with that rifle. I’ve recently become interested in some of the less common chamberings. oneim currentlygetting dialed in is an A Bolt in .257 Roberts. Another is a Stainless Stalker in .284 Win. I’ve got a set of test... Less common models ..read more

A little over 2 months ago, I saw that one of my favorite dealers on Gun Broker had a couple of Hi Powers listed for sale. After getting in a bidding war with somebody else I was the winner of both pistols. One is a 1967 model that is almost perfect and I put my .22 conversion kit on it; the Austrian Police gun is back in the back of the safe once again. The second one is an "E" series frame with a more modern slide on top. I started the paperwork on Tuesday and it comes home a week from... New to me Hi Powers ..read more
