Chippenham’s Dymag announces latest investment

Dymag, the Chippenham-based lightweight wheel manufacturer, has announced its latest investment, which comes from Hankuk Carbon. The funding from the South Korean advanced materials manufacturer will be used to further the global mass-production of Dymag’s technology, which is lighter, stiffer and stronger than a traditional cast allow wheel, which is particularly useful for electric vehicles. Cheltenham’s Pennant announces improved performance in year-end results

Cheltenham-based training technology provider Pennant International Group has announced improved performance in its year-end financial results for 2022, with an increase in gross profit margin and reduction in losses. Pennant announced loss before tax of £1.4 million in 2022, compared to a loss before tax of £2.5 million in 2021. This is despite revenues reducing to £13.7 million from £16 million, with changes in the group’s business mix raising its gross profit margin to 42 per cent, from 27 per cent in 2021. Councillor Barrie Jennings, of Stratton St Margaret Parish Council, and the Arkell family unveiled a commemorative plaque on the site of Arkell’s Brewery where John Arkell, founder, started brewing in 1843. Birmingham City Council has agreed the first Open Access agreements with Telecoms infrastructure providers to use council lampposts to host ‘small cells’. These add greater network coverage and device connection capacity for mobile networks where large masts alone cannot meet user needs.
