Should I report this to insurance?

This happened a few days ago. I managed to get the trees off today. Should I report it to insurance or not? It is a 1987 Chevy G30 with a 5.3 but my trusted mechanic swears it has a very solid engine and tranny. I got to him for all my work for years and I have no reason to not trust him. I bought this in March. My plan was to gut this later this year and remodel it to my design. All the trees did was bend the top roof rail a little bit and some frame bending. One branch did go through but I can always turn that into a skylight and I'm not too worried about it. I eventually want to remove ..read more

Camper tire wear

I am trying to figure out what might be causing my tire wear on my fifth wheel. The first picture is of my rear driver's side tire that is wearing really bad from the inside out on the driver's side. The passenger side is showing a little wear on the inside than outside but not as bad as the drivers side. The front axle is wearing evenly on both tires. Seeing this stopped us from going away this weekend. The second picture is of my level going from the rear tire to the front and the front tire is about 1/2" in towards the frame than the back tire. The third picture is the passenger side a ..read more

Old Motorhomes not allowed?

So me and my wife have been thinking about getting a smaller class C and doing some traveling. The problem is that with our budget and what we're willing to spend all our we can get is an older camper. Like really old. I know anything we buy with that age is going to have problems. That doesn't scare me, I can fix/replace anything. What does worry me is that I've read on here a lot that campgrounds/parks don't allow older campers. Is that true, or is it mostly the extended stay places? submitted by /u/mdluke [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Question Anyone have any opinions on this Winnebago model?? Also is there a place to look these things up and see what they are worth used? I am very early in my research phase but this floor plan rocks. Also would. 2024 Tundra pull this or is it too heavy/long I think my max weight is 11,400. submitted by /u/Next-Professional357 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I made LockerMap, a map of all Amazon pickup locations to make it easier to get Amazon deliveries while traveling. It now supports more countries and has filters to help you find the best locations as you travel.

In case you haven’t heard of Amazon pickup locations, they are self-serve lockers or counters at businesses where you can get Amazon packages delivered. They’re a huge help when you’re traveling and want to order stuff from Amazon. As useful as they are, Amazon makes them difficult to locate. On their site, you can only search around a specific location and see pickup locations within 10 miles. For those of us who travel, it’s much easier to see all of the locations on a map and find locations that best fit our travel plans. To solve this problem, I built a map that shows all of the Amazon pi ..read more

Repair help: What is supposed to go over this pipe?

I inherited a fifth-wheel RV. I know nothing about them. I plan to sell it so I need to do a few repairs. I found that there are pipes that lead off the kitchen and bathroom sinks that look like they should have a cover on them. However, after much googling, I can't find what the cover should look like or what they are called. On a positive note, I found some replacement light covers on amazon that are identical to the ones on my KZ Durango! Anyway, here are some pictures. https://preview.redd.it/gyyk1ldjcxed1.jpg?width=4080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d1628fba6fde3bbb770bf79a1f3d ..read more

Wondering if someone can help here…

Hi everyone! Looking for some knowledge here. I am full-time in a 38’ fifth wheel. My trailer has two a/c units, one in the BR and one in the main area. When I bought this trailer it had been completely remodeled and both a/c have been replaced. We noticed with the main space a/c that the air wasn’t coming through the ceiling ducts (only coming from the main unit) so we went up and noticed the holes inside the unit had been taped up. Does anyone know if this type of rig requires a specific kind of a/c to be able to move the air through the ducts in the ceiling? The way it looks now, my hu ..read more
