So long story short, I bought a used, 2016 Silverado 1500 from a dealership in October. Throughout the time I’ve had it a loud thumping noise was coming from my tires. I had it looked at and was told my tires were extremely cupped. I wasn’t sure if the cupping was something caused by my truck, or if the guy who traded in the Silverado just threw on shitty tires before he got rid of it so I decided to buy some new tires yesterday. So my 2003 Cavalier LS is still giving me trouble, so today I went out and bought a 2004 LS Sport, and on the way home from the dealer it threw 2 codes and started idling high. I noticed the gas gauge handle slowly increase as I drove home and then it started moving in a more jerky pattern, up and down. Right as I noticed this a red indicator came on the cluster so I pulled into a gas station, assuming this to be a low fuel level indicator and a broken fuel gauge, but while filling the tank I read the manual and found this to be low coolant, so I filled the reservoir. I have a 5 hours road trip within the next month. I’m taking my Chevy Cruze 2015, over 100k miles. Car is fine no problem other than the occasional coolant leaks. Just wanted to hear everyone’s experience on road trips in Cruzes around the same mileage and year of my care. I’m only nervous because the random issues I run into this car which are somewhat rare but still. Has anyone else had this issue? Chevy supposedly recalled the part in 2015 because the steel cable snaps from repeated use, but when I took it to the dealership to get it replaced, they said the recall was "closed" and it had already been done. Well, obviously if it has been done it was replaced with the same faulty part. Dealership wants me to pay to fix it. My truck will randomly rev up when I got to stop or turn while driving but only does it when I’m going to a stop sign or slowing down to make a turn.
