Hello everyone. I have a 1993 polaris 350L 4x4. I took it out this weekend and it was running great, but all of a sudden, it lost power. It wouldn't even make it up a small hill. Then after getting it back to my cabin, it wouldn't even start at all. I would attempt to start it, but it would just crank, then backfire, blowing the exhaust pipes apart at the spring loaded connections. Hello, I had to replace the hilliard clutch and outer bearings. I am assembling the hilliard clutch back on the axel, my question is; When the clutch is tight should the plate with the 3 tabs between the clutch and the seal sleave be tight or loose? Can you give me measurements for this space? or set up instructions please. I also had to replace the coil and the seal sleave around the coil. I'm not sure how far the coil sleave should go on? When loading up a ramp onto a truck deck I believe the AWD is causing the quad to kick out to the right / left. The quad loses traction because the front tires aren’t grabbing which results in the quad doing a catwalk veering to one side. I’ve had to jump off and watch the quad roll onto its side three different times. It’s to the point now that I winch it up the ramp. I have no issues with my Yamaha grizzly loading. I haven't run this quad for some time with a good battery. It starts easily with the pull start. I installed a new battery. When I hit the start button, the solenoid clicks but nothing else. I've tried shorting the solenoid but the starter doesn't do anything. I guess I should buy a new solenoid. The old one is original and is rusty. The neutral light is on when I turn the ignition key on. The headlights work also. Maybe check for power to the starter as I push the start button ..read more

I've had this machine for about a year now. I noticed the reverse lights always are on (idk how long they been that way). A while ago I went to let it run for a bit in idle & notice they went off right when I looked at it. And stayed off on their own. I went to press the throttle & they came back on right away. Functionality and driving doesn't seem to be affected.. The only other things wrong with it is when I press the gas, usually in gear, but has happened in idle also, it stalls. Picked up a old true barn find. 1987 cyclone 250 2x4. Been sitting 20yrs but looks great still. Rebuilt the carb, cleaned out the tank and no spark. Replaced coil, no luck. Checked with a volt meter white to ground .550 From stator: blk/red to ground .165 White to ground I get continuity beep Brown/WHT to ground. 141 Blk/red to white .164 Brwn/white to white .141 Blk/red to brwn/white I get continuity beep .028 When I pull the starter cord the indicator light on bars lights up so I assume... Of both front hilliards hillard clutches, one works fine no matter what side I put it on. The other works as in video but does not turn hub when it is installed either side I test it on.... Even tried all new hilliard clutches. No help.. Can get it to "work" if I leave the hub bearing only finger tight, but if torqued as in service manual, it does not... Thanks. I have a 1994 Polaris 400L 4x4 that suddenly started smoking (white). I figured it was a blown head gasket so I replaced that. I started it after replacing it and it smoked for a bit and seemed to calm down, except for when I rev the engine. It continues to smoke. Guy I recently purchased a 2023 Polaris Sportsman 6x6, and I see they don't make body armor/fender protectors for this ATV. I'm gonna give it a try and install the closest model bike body armor that is made. My question to you guys is what ATV is the closest style (fenders the same shape) as my 6x6.
