I work the OTP eats map with the possibly the best Chinese in Atlanta history in Duluth (not Masterpiece, but we love that), sensational barbecue in Canton, GA, two special Suwanee eats places, Jamaican and breakfast. Where is one of the best cheesesteaks in Greater Atlanta. It’s hidden in Alpharetta. Hopefully you caught out first special edition episode about Columbus, Ohio eats. It’s where my son goes to school. But we drive, so I have to research what to eat on the way. I have found gems in Knoxville, and yes a town called Rocky Top in Tennessee. Also, great eats in Kentucky in Lexington, Berea. Just over the bridge, we eat in Cincinnati. It’s Episode 6 of the Atlanta Grubber. Years ago, some of the best barbecue was in Cumming at Pappy Red’s. Atlanta barbecue has advanced light years since then. But Cumming has one of the top choices in the south, Sock’s Love Barbecue. Sock’s has gotten deserved press, so no longer a “hidden gem” just a gem. Episode No. 5 is up. February is Black History Month, so I focus on some of the best black owned, both inside and outside the perimeter. The best cheesesteak I’ve had in this state in 32 years in Atlanta is at Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks, a place that has exploded in just a few years from a tiny joint next to a gas station, into a powerhouse.
