Ok, so having done a quick search and read, I decided I need to make a new post. I bought a 95 with the Tuxedo Mod already done. Stator cover cut for wires to run externally. Cool. Burnt out stator when I bought it, whatever. Tux mod makes that a quick fix... Not so much. Replaced the burnt stator with a Electrosport, and things seemed fine for a while. Maybe 200 miles. But then I started having charging issues. Pulled the stator, found that the wires internally had been worn through... Yet another Tuxedo Mod issue ..read more

Well chapsz I appear to have crud at the bottom of my tank... I'm assuming this is contributing to my poor mileage. I've posted several times my interest in getting together with the local VN750 forum members for a ride, meet & greet, or scheduling a ride with the southeast Pennsylvania members. I bought on eBay a back up starter has 17,000 miles from the bike. It was removed. It looks in good shape but one thing I noticed very difficult to turn the spines. Is this a normal thing or could I be dealing with something binding or preventing it from turning easily, I believe that I should be able to turn it with my fingers but it’s very very tight.
