Sudden onset of desats - can't figure out why

Sudden onset last 4 days in worsening desats. CPAP pressure still @ 8.6 02 concentrator still @ 2.5L/min Readings posted HERE (dates shown are not accurate; my 02 Ring messes up the date unless I refresh the app after each use). As you can see, in the first 12 days of the month (and prior) my 02 score was always 9+ - no worries. Do not notice any disturbances during sleep nor any increase in daytime sleepiness Mask seal shows ok on myAir app. I was getting dry mouth on/off, but not during these reduced 02 readings. Thoughts as to what's causing this sudden drop and whether I should make ..read more

First night with proper mask and full data. any suggestions from OSCAR data?
Apnea Board Forum

I have slept with my Resmed Airsense 10 for a few nights before this without an SD card but now I was able to see my first full nights worth of sleep data on OSCAR. My doctor prescribed a pressure range of 8-16.  I have been browsing the forum for hours and I have a vague idea of how the results can be interpreted but would anyone have any insights they could share with me for this first night of data? Anything I can tweak in terms of pressure or settings to try and make improvements? Anything that sticks out that I should take notice of? Thanks   1.png (Size ..read more

First night on CPAP. OSCAR feedback?
Apnea Board Forum

Let me preface this post by saying this is all new to me, so apologies if I ask anything silly.  I recently had a sleep test with results of AHI 8.2, RDI 18.8 and AI 24.9 so I am trialing a CPAP to see if it helps with my symptoms. I had my first night with the device and I surprisingly wore it for several hours with an AHI of 2.16. Is there anything I should tweak to help me achieve better results tomorrow? Rate my Resmed 10 VAuto deal from FB

Found this on FB Marketplace and snapped it up for $350. How did I do?   vauto1.jpg (Size: 449.51 KB / Downloads: 6) Apparently grandpa bought it, tried on the mask once and refused to touch it again. Runtime of 0 hours. Looks and smells brand new. I will be migrating from an AirSense 10 Auto but having lots of central events and I am hoping to reduce those. OSCAR screens below are from my AirSense 10. What do you folks recommend for starting settings on the VAuto? I was planning on doing a factory reset and then using VAuto mode, Trigger high, TiMax around 2.5 or 2.7.  &n ..read more

Please Help interpreting OSCAR data

Hey everyone. I've been using a Resmed airsense 10 for 3 years already and until now , never really knew we could get such detailed data and actually make informed decisions about our therapy. MY AHI scores (all I was used to seeing before) have always been under 5 and I thought that was enough but I have started to think recently I'm not getting the sleep quality I'd like  and when I found out about OSCAR and seeing some of the data I realise my sleep is very irregular or seems choppy, but can't quite put a finger on why. Many years ago I had a sleep study and the prescribed ..read more

Help Interpreting Resmed Aircurve 10 VAuto Data
Apnea Board Forum

Hello all, I'm posting here in the hopes that someone will give me guidance on what is (still) going on with my sleep and how I can tweak my settings to feel better. I was diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea (AHI=16 and with an arousal index of 70 per hour) and have been using BIPAP consistently for a year now. I originally began treatment with the Phillips Dreamstation Auto BIPAP, but have recently switched to using a Resmed Aircurve 10 VAuto. While I feel better than before I started using the BIPAP, I still deal with a good amount of brain fog/daytime sleepiness that hasn't gone away.  ..read more

Dreamwear frame sizing
Apnea Board Forum
by

How should the Dreamwear frame fit? Should it be a bit loose (can insert figures at top of head) or should it be snug (can't insert fingers easily)? The looser fit seems to work once lying down so perhaps that is ok? The fit probably alters the position of the frame front to back which might change the fit/seal. If too small, it might pull up on my nose and become an issue over time ..read more

Frustrated CPAP User.....

screenshot-20240220-104933.png (Size: 71.54 KB / Downloads: 0) On October 31,2023 I called my Doctor for sleeping pills, I was having insomnia. She asked me a few questions and referred me for a sleep test. I performed the at home sleep test on 12/12/23. I was very surprised when I read the report on MyChart...It said I had extremely severe obstructive sleep apnea with an index of 51.9...Nadir oxygen saturation was 66%. Meets criteria for CPAP. I was referrred to a Pulmonologist and had a video visit on 1/3/24.  He ordered a CPAP machine and I picked it up on 1/9/24...ResMed ..read more
