Hi All, Just seeking minor guidance for adjustments on my CPAP Machine. First two months AHI ranged from highest of 2, to 0.11, now averaging between 0.5 to 2. No mask seal issues with my P30i, though i do catch mount leaks once in awhile.  I generally sleep on my entirely. Huge improvement from AHIs of 17 during sleep study, no snoring whatsoever. Way more focus and being refreshed through day.  Any recommendations are greatly appreciated, particularly to reduce the average AHI to below 1. Hopefully have all the required data in the p ..read more

I had ordered one of these rings a couple weeks ago, but never found the time to setup the app and pc program.  i finally did last night, and thanks to the thread i saw about getting the data into oscar, it was a breeze. my numbers in general were a little higher than normal of late, but i'm happy the o2 readings were ok. i was wondering if they were.  but i'll definitely track it nightly now.   screenshot-20240501-180328-4-30-24.png (Size: 130.8 KB / Downloads: 2 ..read more

screenshot-20240501-192747.png (Size: 107.5 KB / Downloads: 5) My doctor is unable to see me until the end of the month. Even then he didn't seem happy that I bought my own machine. If I upload my data here can someone tell me if I need to make any changes? I wake up almost choking some nights and do crash during the day occasionally  the biggest think the dream mapper app tells me is hypopneas. Lately my chest has been hurting but I don't know if that is from the CPAP or some leftover/long covid symptoms from a covid infection at the end of February. THANK YOU FOR ANY HEL ..read more

The AirSense 11 has a microphone that listens to your mask

I figured a lot of people would want to know about this, but apparently the AS11 has a microphone in it that is used to listen to your mask. Resmed recently pushed an OTA update that turns on this new option called AcousticSignal, which is the microphone. CPAP reviews made a video about it today. The crazy thing is they automatically turn this setting on once the update is installed. As if we need yet another device listening in on us, especially while we are sleeping! They say that they are not recording sound or speech, but I'm skeptical. Yet another reason to buy the AS10 over the AS11 ..read more

Looking for guidance

So recently I changed my pressure settings on my BiPap to Min EPAP 5.0 Max IPAP 9.0 PS 3.0 Trigger Setting Very High I cut way back on the number on the number of CAs I was having. I was experiencing CA numbers in the 90s and have cut them down to 3 CA events two nights ago and 18 last night. What has taken it's place though is the number of Hypopneas I am now having. I was consistently in the single digits for Hypopneas to now in the 60s (did have 136 Hypopnea events 3 nights ago). Not sure if a pressure setting change would work or if I need to change something else. I feel like I slept&nb ..read more

Mouth Tape suggestions
Apnea Board Forum

Really hating the full mask I use to keep my AHI well under 5 and O2 sat above 95%. I have nasal pillows, a nasal mask and the Evora mask rigs (all provided by my sleep doc to try out) but they didn't achieve the same results as the FF mask. BUT - I hate how tight I have to cinch the mask to keep a seal well enough to get good scores. Let me pre-empt some suggestions and say I'm not considering a chin strap or a cervical collar. To me that's replacing one misery for another. But... I'd like to give the nasal options another chance and as a mouth leaker I think the only way it might work is w ..read more

In both the graphs begin when I first put the mask on and try to go to sleep. There is a series of apneas obstructed/hypotonia & clear airway/unobstructed (central). There is that final event and then it is like a switch is thrown and I enter a sleep stage and everything evens out.  Can someone describe and explain why there are all these apneas as I try to tr ..read more

New to all of this. Bit puzzled

So I was diagnosed last year with severe sleep apnea, mainly hypopnea and a few centrals after a sleep study done in a hospital here in The Netherlands where I live. I was quite shocked cause it was only recent that my partner started noticing my stops during the night. So I'm convinced I haven't had this severity for a long time. I was 37 when I was diagnosed, not overweight, don't smoke or drink, but I do have a lot of hormonal issues and I figured out that I have a deviated septum on right side where not a lot of airflow is available. Seen many ENTS, and they were not sure if a surgery on m ..read more

Unstable breathing with BiPAP (possible flow limitations?)
Apnea Board Forum

Hi i have problem with my flow rate using BiPAP I feel little bit better using it for UARS diagnosed in LAB but I feel like there is something wrong still going on. For example in this nap I took today I have a lot of narrowing and unstable breathing in flow rate. Could it be that I am still having flow limited breaths and over time they cause minor arousals? Should flow rate graph be more flat and stable? I attached DATA from OSCAR.   Zrzut ekranu 2024-05-1 o 14.14.48.png (Size: 626.59 KB / Downloads: 3)   Zrzut ekranu 2024-05-1 o 14.15.01.png (Size: 649.17 KB / Download ..read more
