– Operating profit totalled EUR 1.2 (16.6) million, equalling 0.7 (8.2) per cent of net sales

Falls in UK softwood, hardwood and plywood imports account for a six per cent drop in volumes during January 2024, according to the latest TDUK statistics.
UK Timber import volumes started 2024 around six per cent lower than in January 2023, down by around 45,000m3. This reduction was made up of very different levels of performance in the first month of the year.
Softwood, hardwood and plywood imports were all lower than in January 2023, but particleboard, engineered wood, OSB and MDF products all saw imports increase slightly at the start of this year.

A total of 70.6 million cubic metres (m3) of wood was felled in German forests in 2023. This means that logging was 10.3% lower than in the previous year (2022: 78.7 millioncubic metres). According to the Federal Statistical Office, the main reason for this decline was lower logging due to forest damage.
6 million m3 less damaged timber
