Is this a Pre-Transition Stamp?

This looks to me like a pre transition stamp - three faint dots below, I believe. The stamp is very faint, though, and my vision isn’t the best. What do you think? submitted by /u/ChapterSuper [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Weird 10-dollar cymbal (help greatly appreciated)

I just started on drums (as is likely obvious) and I got this cymbal for ten dollars (due to a price tag mistake) at my local music store. I have no idea what it is, but it says "STARCASTER - Fender," it sounds awful, looks awful, and it's warped around the edges. It's slightly smaller than my Zildjian ZBT 16" crash and feels thin enough to be a crash, but it sounds more like I'm banging on a street sign. Furthermore, are there any tips to improve the sound, al least to where it sounds like a crash? Thank you! submitted by /u/HellblaueHoelle [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Sabian XSR, Wuhan Western, Meinl Classics Custom Brilliant, or Centent Tang?

Hey friends, I'm looking for new cymbals to enhance my drum sound and the cymbal lines listed above are the ones in my price range and my personal favorites as far as the sound goes. I primarily play metal which these are all good for, but I do enjoy playing some softer stuff and I would like my cymbals to be able to represent both sides of the spectrum. I understand that most would say to buy used Zildjian A Customs or Sabian AAs, but to be honest I don't much care for or notice the slight difference any expensive cymbal would have once we break past the beginner group of cymbals. Looking for small-ish Zildjian crash/ride recommendations

So I'm rocking a 17" K Dark Thin Crash as my main crash/ride but I feel that it is actually too slow/heavy in some situations. It goes well with the 20" K Custom Dark Ride and the 15" K Dark Thin Crash, though. I'm going to a drum shop soon to try out some alternatives, might as well look into the new 20" K Paper Thin Crash and the Sweet series. Any other recommendations? I'm playing all genres but mostly Jazz/Fusion, Djent sometimes. submitted by /u/drummerboiiy [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I’ve been watching a lot of tour videos. I’m in the US, and think zildjian is still closed? But I’m dying to go to one. submitted by /u/redcurtainrod [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Picked up the Paiste Dark Crisp 13 hats. Had a little extra love from the distributor perhaps. Undetectable to the touch. Sound is amazing. Keeping the Freddy Kruger’d top, would you have? submitted by /u/Smash-Pass-69 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
