Just read this pretty dumb take from the Athletic about the winners and losers from the draft.
In this draft, there were 7 QB needy teams and 6 of them were considered starter potential. The Raiders just happened to be the odd man out. Seeing how the draft played out, it would have taken either a monumental trade where we would have had to trade essentially whole draft years just to move up or simply that the teams just decided to stay put where they were. They were only one trade up for a QB (Vikings) and that was just one spot.
Once Nix was gone, we had to scrap Plan A and go with Plan ..read more

One of the hat companies had this as a trade show giveaway. Just happens to work out that I’m a massive Raiders fan. Even my 9ers friends were jealous of it.

1st Round, 13th Overall - Brock Bowers: A+
Absolutely adore this pick. It came out of the blue and I did a double-take when it was announced, but the more I think about it the more I'm on board with it. In my opinion, Brock Bowers is the best tight end prospect the NFL has ever seen, and to get a player like that at 13th is some witchcraft dark magic bullshit and I am all on board. Bowers' run after catch ability is absolutely ridiculous. He has so much spacial awareness and athleticism, and he makes everything seem so easy. I don't follow college football and don't watch the draft because I have no knowledge about players. Can someone give me info about the players we drafted. If you have followed them or know about them from games. I avoided the sub to not see comments saying bust or steal. I've been around many years seeing players get hype for stats or they are freak builds. Are some of the players starter worthy or fill in positions as backups and as well players that can develop. So for those will college football knowledge of players.
As well thank you if you do reply.

In my opinion this was a grand slam of a draft for us. Arguably the best one we’ve had in a very very long time.

I know that this has been some back and forth conversation on the sub for awhile, but I’m genuinely curious to see how you all feel about him running the offense for this season.
My take is we simply won’t know until the season begins, but it seems like there are some pros in the sense that guys like AR, LaFleur and Tae loved him while he was in GB as a passing game coordinator and earned a lot of respect even getting nods of becoming a highly touted OC or even HC. And on the other side you have resumes like the one we know most about with the Bears and how he didn’t get a lot out of Justin F ..read more
