Written by: Laura Bachmann Now that the year is drawing to a close, we’re delighted to take a look back at some of our favorite catering events from 2023 in anticipation of all the upcoming excitement of 2024! We kicked off this year with the San Francisco General Hospital’s Annual “Hearts in SF” gala at City Hall. Global Gourmet Catering was honored to be a part of the fundraising cause, which was a gorgeous, two-part event consisting of a formal, sit-down dinner of doctors and dignitaries followed by a wildly fun “Hearts After Dark” party. We are excited to be partnering with the SFGHF again ..read more

Written by: Laura Bachmann It’s all the rage right now. Everyone’s talking about it and wants to try it, and here at GGC, we finally got the opportunity to do it. That’s right; we’re talking about goat yoga. And what better opportunity to do this than for a Halloween team-bonding experience in a beautiful pumpkin patch at Lemos Farm in Half Moon Bay? Oh, and let’s dress up as black cats because it’s Halloween, and why not? It’s exactly like what it sounds like – it’s yoga, but there are goats. They are cute and rambunctious, like to chew on everything and add a fabulously playful bit of silli ..read more

Global Gourmet was proud to host our annual Onsite Staff Appreciation Picnic at San Pablo Reservoir again this year! Over 250 of our onsite team – servers, bartenders, line cooks, sous chefs, managers, warehouse staff, and everyone in between – came to hang out, enjoy the great weather, and be celebrated for all the hard work they tirelessly put in on-site at every event. And, of course, it wouldn’t be a GGC party without excellent food. Chef Dontaye prepared a delicious BBQ smorgasbord of treats, ranging from cucumber and peach salad to grilled ribs and fried chicken to a full seafood boil wi ..read more

By Laura Bachmann One of the best perks of working in special events catering is exploring different venues around the Bay Area. An ever-changing “office” keeps the average workday fun and exciting! And when the sun greets you this warmly, early morning concert days aren’t so bad either. Mountain Winery wakes up to greet the day.
