Expecting 120 boxes of lVP SPC directly from the manufacturer. Can this sit outside for a few days until I can get it indoors? I’m worried about it getting rained on or exposed to humidity.

It’s seems like something is causing the floor to pull up over time, resulting in the plastic sofa leg been broken. It’s on the back side of the sofa on the seat that is used the most Any ideas why this is happening?

I noticed the floor here was in bad shape. Water must be getting in somewhere. Is this a repair I can do? What sort of contractor would I call if I can't or don't want to?

I've had 375 sq ft installed for $1050. Didn't include the stairs/landing. It was concrete with the frame seams that needed filled. Base boards are there as well. The photo shows their concrete work and some other things. The flooring is nudged against the baseboard instead of under it. Looking for feedback from flooring installers on this job. Would you remove the baseboard beforehand? Or at least communicate that it should/could be? Pricing, quarter round install, stairs/landing included, wtf with the concrete...? I've done construction but decided to let the "experts" do this. Full regret ..read more

Hi. I’m in the process of choosing options for a new home build. I have two young kids (4 and 9 year old), no dogs yet but promised the kids they can get a puppy once we move. So ideally I’d like something that’s scratch resistant and waterproof/water-resistant. I was initially leaning towards LVP but another builder I know says that he would never install LVP and that we should at least go with an engineered hardwood to maximize the value of the home. I’m currently considering the following options. If anyone has any experience with any of the below, I’d love to hear. My understanding is tha ..read more

Hello all! I am putting an art studio in one of my spare bedrooms. The bedroom currently has carpet over the hardwood. Keeping the carpet is absolutely not an option. Below looks like it was painted white - but I think that is just the shade for the glue they used. I can’t afford or have time to refinish the floors right now - I hope to redo them all eventually. And rather do them cohesively rather than room by room.
But for now, is a peel and stick vinyl tile a good idea ? Is it easy to remove when I decide to ? For installing, I will remove all staples from the floors, and move the baseboar ..read more

Recently moved into a new house with Jarrah hardwood floors and the missus has noticed these small circular bumps in a certain area of the floor and is worried they are termites. There are no holes, just the slightly raised craters, and you can only see them when looking at them in the light. Any ideas what they might be and should I be worried. Photos attached.
