For PTs in SoCal, how many pts do you eval/ treat AND complete documentation in an 8 hour day at your acute hospital? Do you stay past 8 hrs unpaid to complete documentation?

If you saw this in the precautions for a TKA patient you would assume you could remove the knee immobilizer for non-WB ROM activities right?

I've heard fellow therapists say if a patient does or doesn't think PT will help their pain, they're right. Does anyone have any research on hand about patient's belief/disbelief in physical therapy helping their pain. I've been reading a lot of articles about the placebo effect on pain, disability, and function. I've read a lot about contextual factors influencing outcomes, but I haven't found anything definitive to support or refute that claim. Thanks in advance!

Hi all. I have an opportunity to move to Germany.
Some of you may know me as a harsh but fair critic of this profession in the US.
Question to any German physios. How hard would it be to get work there?

Recently interviewed with an organization for an acute care role. They were hesitant to give an estimate stating 'it depends' which seems like a red flag to me...
Does anyone who works in the acute care setting have an idea for how many people per day you would have to see on a typical med-surg or ortho floor to hit 16-18 RVU's per day?

Short story. Male patient had medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction due to several episodes of subluxation/luxation.
At week 13, this patient went on holidays and bought some elastic bands because he would be out for a week and a half. Patient appears today (wk 16) with clear patellar subluxation during first 20 degrees of knee extension. Told me he believes it appeared after a set of leg extensions.
Am I wrong for prescribing him knee extensions? We did them in a progression (isos at 60, isotonics from 100-60 and then full arc at week 10. No issues with pain or instability) (the pati ..read more

What’s the best location? If I place it on the bottom bar, it’s too low and drags on the floor with risk of tubing being rolled over on the wheel. If I place it on the back rest bar, it is then above the level of the bladder.
