Currently on the Smugmug $31/month plan to sell photos. If I'm lucky, I sell enough prints to pay the monthly fee.
I'm not very impressed with Smugmug. The actual hosting of the photos is great but the pricing and payment is off. For example, someone just purchased a 24x30 print and paid $93 after shipping. I'll make $18 profit on this. I could have made way more profit margin getting the photo printed/shipping myself. Granted I may not have made the sale either. I also have zero quality control of what is being printed or how it looks. I could also raise my prices, but that may deter sales ..read more

I’m a photography teacher at a high school and I’m looking for something that I can attach to my camera that will connect wirelessly to my computer or my projector. Basically what I’m wanting to do is to display the screen of the camera so that all students can follow along on their own. Right now what I’m doing is my laptop is wirelessly connected to the projector, and I have my laptop camera on to display but it’s not as practical as I would like it to be. I hope this makes sense in my description, and hopefully you guys have some answers/brands to look into. Maybe what I want doesn’t exist ..read more

Hi, I usually used Panasonic G80/85 for taking RAW photo and Darktable for photo editing. Recently, due to work life, I usually do not have free time to do photo editing anymore. Even though G80/G85 can take photo with good quality in term of captured information, but its automatic JPEG outputs frequently looks inferior compared to JPEG outputs from the camera phone, thanks to the processing power of the phone.
So, may I know what is the best PC software that can automatically fix/repair and output JPEG photos from their RAW whose quality is comparable to the phone's automatic processing? Of ..read more

I want to get better at concert photography, and I guess I’d like to kind of do a study on what makes for “good” concert photos. Composition, mood, color palette, etc…
I know this will probably drastically change from person to person (as well as band to band)… but I don’t know. Just looking for some good examples to use as a starting goal for my own work.
If you are a concert photographer, free to share your own photos here as well!

Hello People of the internet
I recently bought a new display for my Canon Powershot G10, because the old one had a weird color issue and replaced it today. After installing the new display and turning on the camera I found that the same Issue still persist:
https://imgur.com/a/NRSfwAv (Photo of the screen)
The problem ist that on the screen all the whites are getting blue or green, but when i open the photos on my computer they are perfectly normal. So if its not the display, what else could be here the problem?
Thank you for your help <3

Hi all, sorry if this is not the right place for the this but I was hoping you all would have experience with this problem I have. I'm trying to figure out tactfully what's the best thing to say to help disquiet insecurities that people have when taking pictures of them.
I don't in anyway claim to be a photographer, I'm the go to social media content creator for my small company. This inevitably means I end up taking a lot of pictures for a lot of the day to day marketing. One problem I run into is a couple of my co workers aren't super comfortable being in front of the camera and tend to hyp ..read more

Hey folks!
I am a wedding photographer and espicially during the wedding ceremony i often find myself in mixed light situations with sun and articial light. Because there will be quit a few pictures during this time its really time consuming to fix each picture individually.
How do you guys approach this problem? I most often try to adjust white balance to skin tones and then turn down blue saturation, which doesnt always work well.
Happy to hear your work flows!

I will be on a trip for two months were weight is crucial (bikepacking). I will be shooting a lot of footage. I expect 500GB / week.
Have plenty of SD cards, however this becomes pricey fast.
Bring a laptop and an external hard drive and transfer on the go, however that's heavy.
Bring an external hard drive, and offload the SD cards via connecting the card reader and the hard drive to a usb-c hub to my iPhone 15 Pro. I've tried it and it works most of the times, however I doubt the reliability of this process.
What are your thoughts? Do you have other options to suggest? Do you have a simil ..read more
