Me and my husband like both names, but he likes sophie a bit more and I like Anastasia. Maybe we should put their names in a hat and draw the winning name. ? submitted by /u/Timely-Structure123 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I know social media/tiktok is not a great place for anxiety, but I see a lot of people posting and commenting about having stuff like preclampsia, choleostasis, HELLP syndrome, and other stuff that caused them to either be induced early, cause them health problems or to go to the er/ be hospitalized. what are the odds of having a smooth pregnancy vs having a severe problem? my sister in law had a smooth pregnancy but I feel like every person I see on social media had a severe problem which scares me and makes me look out for every symptom. submitted by /u/ExistingStrike5530 [visit reddit] [c ..read more

I'm participating in another thread and I am just so encouraged at how many people here are focused on true health and wellness. This is such an amazing pro-science group and I feel so seen and supported. I'm equally surprised that so many medical professionals participate in the conversation and keep it on track. Keep it going! This is one of the few safe spaces left. submitted by /u/Illustrious_Crow4850 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Frustrated: Family Politics on Meeting the Baby

Today I found out I will have a C-section next Tuesday. I planned for a vaginal birth but I'm ok with it because it's safer for my baby. What I'm frustrated with the fact that no one in my family seems to care about my feelings or wishes. As soon as we found out, my MIL (who is generally a great person and we have a great relationship) decided she wants to fly in this weekend (from abroad) to be here for this special occasion, instead of a week after the baby is born as was planned. I understand her excitement, but she is coming in from a foreign country spending more than 12 hours on a plane ..read more

But who cares when we got our beautiful baby boy at the end of it ! 39 weeks, 2 days. I'm in bed at night feeling the 5-1-1 contractions. It's been about two hours at this point. I wake hubby up and let him know that I think it's time. I walk the dog, we get everything ready and head out the door. I was watched for a few hrs, before they come back and tell us we are not leaving here without a baby! The plan was to water labor, and then give birth unmedicated; well that didn't get to happen. Our boy had been showing signs of distress the entire time, dipping in his heart rate sporadically, and ..read more

I have read a lot of posts about indigestion and constipation, I want to know what my actual problem is. I am 10 weeks and 2 days. Like a lot of you, I have food aversions, but not because I throw up when I eat them, but because I have this weird bitter taste in my mouth all the time which cancels out the good taste of these food. Now, to my real problem. I am hungry -> I eat something -> I have no difficulty swallowing but it just stays in the food pipe -> food does not reach stomach so I am still hungry -> food just accumulates in my food pipe so I have to go brush my teeth whic ..read more

my body feels so tired like I wanna nap all the time but everytime I sleep/nap, I wake up with stomach cramps/nausea that make me feel incapable of waking up. This only started 2 days ago but it's making me not wanna go to sleep at all. I tried taking a vitamin b6 and half a unisom last night as my doctor recommended but I still woke up feeling just lousy. Ugh. Once I get up and about I feel okay but as soon as I succumb to the tired, the cycle restarts. submitted by /u/ExistingStrike5530 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
