I’ve just hit the second trimester, I’ve started throwing up more than I did in the first but I still don’t throw up often which I’m grateful for… But since the day I got pregnant I have not had a SINGLE days rest from the nausea - not one!! It is all day all night absolutely insanely strong nausea Every. Single. Day. I was hospitalised a couple days ago just overnight because I hadn’t been able to eat or drink for days prior and honestly was close to having a mental breakdown. I’m taking 2x Ondans per day and 1x Doxylamine Succinate (12.5mg, half a tablet) per day and still struggling terrib ..read more

I am guilty of my diet

Currently 18 weeks FTM and reaaaally guilty of my diet. I have complete supplements daily (multivitamins including folic acid, calcium, iron) but I tolerate very limited types of food and I hate veggies ever since. Also have very very few fruits in my diet. Hubby and I work daily and have no time to prepare food. I usually resort to easy-to-make ones like cereals and PB sandwich. Sometimes, noodles or canned tuna. Anyone else who had similar experiences but baby turned out fine? How did you manage your diet while working as a pregnant woman? submitted by /u/C5bC6-C9 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Just took an online pregnancy class where the instructor briefly mentioned weight gain due to pregnancy and she said try not to feel self conscious about your body changing- and in fact pregnant ladies are not ugly they are cute/adorable. I hope people see me that way! But I don't think I've ever seen a pregnant woman and thought that to myself ? I mean, I'm happy for us! But I don't know about cute. What do you think? submitted by /u/Wild_Artichoke_4512 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Y'all, I am 32 weeks and I ate just a little too much burrito bowl for dinner and I am going to explode. I am a dying planet. I am an overfilled balloon. I am a tire that is about to pop. I am Winnie the Pooh stuck in the rabbit hole of my tasty dinner. I never want to eat again. submitted by /u/exit_pursued_byabear [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Husband is avoiding this pregnancy.

This might be more of a rant however I am sure there are other wives or girlfriends who might have experienced this. My husband and I planned this baby. I am currently 35weeks. I have attended classes and read books in preparation for going into labor. My husband has not attended any of these classes with me. This is mostly due to the fact that he had to work, which is a priority because I am a stay at home wife soon to be mom however I don’t think he wanted to go to them anyway. I bought books for him to read to supplement him not going to the classes and he hasn’t picked up any of these boo ..read more

It's still very very early so he won't be here until tomorrow so patiently waiting ? submitted by /u/kitanicole [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

and when we first met i was in ED recovery. so now to finally be at a healthy weight and pregnant against all odds, i just feel gross in front of him. i’m only two months, but can barely get 1,000 calories in due to gastroparesis (paralyzed stomach muscles). so what i can tolerate, is usually chips, peanut butter, soft foods, and HE will comment how i’m “snack binging”, how i need to eat more veggies (I CANNOT DIGEST FIBER), how i need to be more “healthy”….while he eats out every night and spends the day eating candy. he invites me out to dinner, but tells me not to eat too much. he says i’m ..read more

My Mom won’t stop fear mongering me about my scheduled c section

Hey all. I’m currently 38 weeks with my first baby. At my appt last week it was confirmed that my baby is breech so I have a c section scheduled. My Mom has been a great help for me, until now. She keeps telling me everyday how I need to do my exercises to turn the baby around, thinking there’s still a chance for a vaginal delivery. My mom has always been a huge advocate for natural unmedicated vaginal births and that was my plan as well until finding out I need a c section. I am content with a c section but I can’t talk anything baby with her now because she always turns it into lecturing me ..read more

Expecting baby just before Christmas - family lives 4 hours away. How do I explain to my partner we’re not going to Christmas?

So I’m due on the 13th of December to our first. My sisters and my mother gave birth to their firsts 1 week late. So I’m expecting to see baby arrive between 13/12-20/12 (but who knows!). I just said to my partner we’d be at home for Christmas, and he was surprised. Thought we’d be able to drive to see his family and take Bub. He hadn’t thought about it properly, naivety on his behalf I believe, poor guys don’t know much about babies until they have their first. Anyway: - I don’t think I’ll be able to travel and sit in a car for 4 hours, whether vaginal or c-section delivery. - I will want to ..read more
