i followed the recipe below with the addition of 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/8 tsp cardamom! i also substituted buttermilk with a 2:1 ratio of milk:sour cream + a bit of lemon juice. the batter was sort of lumpy - it reminded me of pancake batter consistency - i left it lumpy bc i didn’t want to risk over mixing https://food52.com/recipes/76561-caramelized-banana-upside-down-cake i think this turned out great! the cake is very light and it let me use up my ripe bananas - a fun alternative to banana bread :) submitted by /u/moreoatsfamther [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
