I cut off a knot to try and help me work through the matte I have a big matted hair ball with no free strands at the end /source to work through ...this is caused by neglect from depression...it happens every now and then but usually I detangle because there are free strands to work upwards and detangle from the bottom ​ This time it was a huge knotted mess and I couldjt figure out how to detangle:( ​ I cut large chunks hoping it would help but it only made things worse and it's too close to the roots(the matted hair ) right now I'm stuck with matted hair and losing large chunks of hair tryin ..read more

My hair is type 2a it’s very long and fine, it’s just too soft/fine to hold curl or volume, I’ve tried so many different types of products, moose/root sprays/hairspray ect and it helps a little to hold curl if I’ve put rollers in but it doesn’t hold volume. About 10 years ago when I was 17 I worked in a hairdressers and curly blow outs would hold in my hair for days (longer if I didn’t wash it) but it wasn’t in the best condition and I don’t know if the perm I got 3 years prior had anything to do with it, which leads me to my next question, would getting a perm help my hair to hold a blo ..read more

My hair is about 24-25 inches maybe even 26 inches now. I get hair extensions for volume. since my hair is so long its really hard to find extensions in that length according to hairstylists i talk to. My hair girl is saying she can get me 23 inches. I had highlights done not even 2 weeks ago and when I left, I did not notice the way the roots look here.
