I recently purchase me a new Shield Plus with the factory Red Dot Optic included. I noticed last night in the dark (gun was unloaded/rack open) that the red dot was on all night. Does anyone know if this is normal? Does the condition of the gun (loaded?/chambered?) determine the on/off status of the dot? If it’s on always, I would understand why - just thinking about how often I might have to change out the battery. And speaking of battery, anyone know what it requires?
