Did a lot of research. Tested out the M2.0 Compact with the horrible original curved trigger but I was accurate. Purchased the “series” model with upgraded flat safety trigger. I’m in love!

My LGS/range I go to just got this first Gen M&P1.0 with the Metal Apex trigger installed
They know I'm a S&W fanboy and M&P slut so they give me a call to see if I want first dibs on it.
Said they'll take $400 cash. Should I pull the trigger? Will need slide mill so if I do go for it it'll be like $550 total....

Who makes replacement sights for the new generation of optic ready m&p 2.0s? The sights are obviously different than the ones on a non-optic ready slide, but since smith didn't make it the m&p 3.0 it's hard to track down what will work and what won't.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I recently purchase me a new Shield Plus with the factory Red Dot Optic included. I noticed last night in the dark (gun was unloaded/rack open) that the red dot was on all night. Does anyone know if this is normal? Does the condition of the gun (loaded?/chambered?) determine the on/off status of the dot? If it’s on always, I would understand why - just thinking about how often I might have to change out the battery. And speaking of battery, anyone know what it requires? I’m thinking a 2032 but can’t find that info in the manual. Thx!

Should I be concerned with this? Is it worth sending it in to S&W for inspection or a new barrel? I purchased this Shield Plus recently but should’ve inspected it better at the gun shop. I have yet to fire it.

For any1 wondering the measurements are 6/32x1/2 and yes I know this is blasphemy but I had no other choice while I wait for these damn screws to come I'm. But in the words of Shrek, "That'll do donkey, that'll do" now start with the down votes. And yes this is on my M&P 5.7 lol
