Maybe old news to some, but I just heard about it. Smith & Wesson has identified two M&P Shield EZ Pistols on which the hammers manufactured by our supplier were cracked. Well I happened to adopt a 686 no-dash today with factory combats. I place the blame squarely with Animalspooker, he talked me into this. I think I'll take this one in the woods so I'll probably throw the grips in the safe and put something else on them for the time being since I am not a big fan of slick grips. I never owned a 22 mag until I was over 60. I own a Golden Boy, the Ruger Precision and the Single Six, all great guns. In a rifle they have a lot of power, in a pistol with a barrel under 6 inches basically 100 fps more than a 22, not much actual power.
