I’ve got an older Lowe riveted Jon boat that I’m wanting to convert to a duck boat, I was curious if I was going to have any problems if I remove the center bench seat

I am needing some tips and tricks for my Mad River Adventure 14 canoe i am trying to set up. My buddies have all said they are going to be busy with work and new babies this season so I'm going to try some solo public on big water. I have a 50 thrust Minn Kota I'm picking up tonight. Grabbing a deep cycle marine battery this weekend. Setting a light bar on the front with 2 other lights left and right. Guessing I will need red and green light for front and white light on the back but not really sure on Kansas and Missouri rules for a canoe. Need some advice on how everyone is pulling these ..read more

Any tips on shooting? I am from Illinois and am going hunting for the first time ever with a group of guys I know. Have my benelli super nova, waders, shells, couple of calls I’ve practiced with, water proof jacket. Any other tips of suggestions?
They have 2 dogs and other gear for a good hunt, but I already know I am gonna do this. It looks like a GREAT challenge.
Thanks guys.

So I am going on my first duck hunt ever. A buddy and I are going on a guided hunt in central Florida. We are avid sporting clay shooters who have been waiting to do the real thing for a while now. Anyways I am afraid to bring my Beretta Excel a400 sporting 12ga into this saltwater environment. I just don’t want anything to happen to it. It’s my baby. Am I being over protective? The gun I feel comfortable bringing into that environment is my Mossberg 500 turkey gun with a 24inch barrel. Please let me know what yall think. Thanks. Also I do shoot sporting clays with that Mossberg occasionally ..read more

Is there a specific reason that we can only shoot during certain times? So we don’t hunt while they’re sleeping?

I have a 14 ft flat bottom boat and a 16 ft flat bottom boat. I was looking into getting a mud skipper long tail kit and a Predator 16hp engine to interchange the two boats. I have three guys and a dog with gear that would be in the boat. Does anyone know if the 16hp would be enough to get through some mud and debris or do I need a bigger engine?

Thank you for the answers on my gun choice post. I ended up not being able to get a Benelli Sbe3 and was outbid on them after 1400, only to see them the next day reposted. Ended up getting an SBE2 used for 1100. Looking forward too it and looking at chokes for it now for this fall, and a skete choke too.
