Hello,
I am on a Personal EV project using Renault Twizy as the platform.
Therefore, I need data of Twizy Chassis, and it would be grateful if anyone can share their file and knowledge about it.

It seems there’s CAD data of it, if not, I would have to disassemble Twizy and do reverse modeling.
I appreciate your help.
Regards, Chung

Can someone please tell me what the thickness should the brake pads be when new. Taking my twizy in for a brake check and I just know they are going to say they are too worn when in fact they are probably fine.
Think my right rear calliper has fused as the handbrake cable is not balanced when the hand brake is applied.
Thanks

Hello everybody,
Here’s my question, How does the service battery recharges? In a petrol car the 12V is used for the starting motor to turn the inertia wheel while igniting for the first time, then after the alternator recharges the 12V while the engine is running.
My thinking is a similar way, the 12V battery is used to run the SCR to connect the power battery, while the power battery 57V is running it recharges the 12 V, on it on while the batteries last. Am I thinking it the right way?
This is my issue, I connected a fancy equalizer, this equalizer drags a little bit of current while it’s t ..read more

If you’re looking at this you probably know what it is already - a new style charger and combined dc-dc converter for the Renault Twizy.
Old style chargers had issues such as too high or too low mains voltage would prevent charging or they may not charge to 100% or not shut off fully when charging had finished - this updated charger fixes those issues plus the reliability of the earlier chargers isn’t great.
These cost near on £900 from Renault (ouch) - this one was fitted to a Twizy for a month last year but we eventually found the issue was not with the charger !
It has a few marks on the ba ..read more

One of my children is working on a University project to design an electric car and has been tasked with specifying the Vehicle Management System for the vehicle. If you look at Systems diagrams of an EV, many include a VMS but I have never seen it discussed in this forum, which got me thinking.
Does the Twizy have a Vehicle Management System? And, if it does, Where is it? What does it look like? And what is its specification?

Hi all,
On a forum from my country, a user told a story about a ZOE owner, which purchased the car from an unreliable source, which told him that he owned the battery. In reality battery was rented and the contract was not transferred to the new owner. After a time the new owner got his car locked by Renault and he could not use it anymore. So, it seems that the ZOE have a cellular connection inside which can be accessed remotely. I personally do not know this, I do not own a ZOE and I did not studied them. But I cannot stop asking myself if the Twizy does not have a similar connection, since ..read more
