it's infrastructure anxiety, specifically available and working charger anxiety we have.
credit to Matt Farah and his YT video traveling with his Mach-E for coining the phrase.
TLR While ChargePoint and Electrify America apps seem good at identifying charging stations and their status, what happens if you show up and none are available? Especially if it's L2 ChargePoint. Relying on the current, modest charging infrastructure for beyond out and back range (~35-45 miles out on our SEs)...

Just noticed a "new" section in the MINI app just under the current charge status that says "Charging target set to 100%." That link goes to the Charging Plan section, but I still don't see where it can be set to charge to less than 100% (not that I think doing so in a MINI SE is important). Does this mean they are maybe adding that ability in the future? Or that maybe the car can get an update to change that setting (to stop at 80 or 90%)?
Thoughts?

Okay, we all know that price is an obstacle to EV ownership for many people in the U.S. The list of new EVs with a starting MSRP below $40,000 is really thin, and just got thinner with the discontinuation -- at least for a while -- of the Chevy Bolt. Enter the Kia EV3. So far it exists in concept form only, but the automotive press thinks a production version is coming, probably for 2026 -- but they're less sure that it's coming to the U.S....

Cannot find any info about this in the manual. Is this telling me about the main EV battery or about the 12 volt battery?

https://trn.trains.com/news/news-wire/2020/12/18-canadian-pacific-announces-plan-to-develop-hydrogen-powered-road-locomotive
More getting into this... Makes a lot of sense for trains given the drive train itself is already electric even with the current diesel engines. And given the high energy density of stored hydrogen (130 X better than batteries), the fuel cells can be easily transported. Plus vast quantities of hydrogen can be stored at select locations and moved where...

Hello all,
I did search and it is a common word so didn't see what I needed.
I can't see a jack for jacking up the car in my 2024 version. Did they actually not come with one since they don't have a spare? A jack is mentioned in the manual.
My R56 has one.
Tried contacting the salesman but looks like he's moved on.
cheers

Recently I started having recurrent issues with my CarPlay starting Google Maps. Sometimes it seems to start well, displays my current location and allows me to trace a rout from there to the destination, but once I start driving the GPS does not update my position (it gets stuck like the car never moved) even after driving 10 miles away (fortunately I know the way, just looking for traffic on the way), so I had to stop and switch to apple maps. Other times it starts seemingly well, but the...

Hi,
My 2021 Ultimate is coming up on lease end.
I can turn it in and pay the mileage penalty or buy it out and either keep or sell.
After 3 years we have 75K miles on it and it’s really been no issues besides bad factory tires in the beginning.
It’s been our carpool and daily driver for everything really.
The mileage only gives me an extra 25K miles out of it and I’m worried about the main battery costs to replace or if anything goes bad after 100K.
Is the main battery something I...
