Recently I bought a Remington Model 17. Really against my better judgement but the price was right. On the positive side the screws are not buggered, the bore is great and there is no pitting just honest blue wear. On the negative side the barrel and receiver serial numbers don't match and the slide stop screw is missing. All the other parts of the slide stop are there. Bought these at a local estate sale. Just looking for more info about them right now. There’s a 24” Imp Cyl, 26” Mod and a 28” solid rib barrel marked Long Range and LR. Good afternoon, new member but long time lurker. I was trying to go out turkey hunting today and wanted to check if my plug was in the mag tube. Pulled the bolt back and took the barrel off. Now I can’t get the bolt to come forward. It feels wedged into the back of the receiver. I took the trigger assembly out but the bolt won’t budge, forward backwards etc. Also, when I tried to initially put the barrel back on, it wouldn’t seat all the way in, this was my first inclination that... I have a 12 gauge 870 Super Mag used for turkey hunting. I'm wanting to install a ghost ring rear peep sight. Can anyone advise a model number/brand that will fit the receiver contour of this shotgun. I know I'll need to drill and tap the receiver, that's no problem. Just hoping to find a sight that I don't have to heavily modify to fit. Williams WGRS sights are sorta close, but will require considerable filing.
