Hello, I've got 3 fox micron mx alarms and they've been great, out in all weathers and never had an issue. Last time on the bank 1 alarm started beeping every 5ish minutes. Put it down to wind but the others were not making a sound. When I tightened the line I noticed the alarm didn't make a noise. When I pull line through it fast it goes off but when slowly pulled nothing. What's going on? I've tried fresh batteries and the low battery indicator isn't coming on. A few times last year I was passed by on the river Lot by a custom built angling boat, Carp Pirates Adventures. I only recently found out the owner of this business lives about a five minute drive from me. Sally and I met up with him in Limogne and he came across as a genuine and enthusiastic angler, busy renovating a property but he is still finding time to catch carp himself. Only recently got into carp fishing and pilsworth is closest venue for me to do a 2 day session on so just wondering if any of you guys have ever fished the carp lake before and if so are there any recomendations on how to tackle the venue? Went today to have a good look around and spent a couple of hours trying to identify the best spots to target.Not any visual features that jump out at you and no carp signs of any discription i could see from 2 hours scouring the lake although a mass of bream were showing in the margins all down one side in spawning mode.
