What upgrades/enhancements can I make to a 2005 Elise? Looking for cosmetic, modernizations mostly (ie: touch screen, carbon fiber accents, headlights, etc). I’m no mechanic so I’ve already ruled out superchargers, etc.

I just finished fitting the Joying 6.2” head unit in my Exige, the main motivation was having Apple CarPlay which is a real luxury in an Exige! It turned into a bit of a nightmare because I discovered what appeared to be a mouse nest in the dashboard ??♂️but it’s all sorted now.
For anyone with this unit installed, what have you learned? For anyone interested in it, ask me any questions and I’ll do my best to answer.
If you want to see the install, I made a video about it here - https://youtu.be/0YoCUq4dQxo?si=c0h5dh9T07xwXv7z

Test drove and put a deposit down today. Took a picture of the same angle of all the different colors they had to try and get a sense of what color I wanted. Thought it might be helpful to some here

I owned this car (1997 Elise S1, K series, all original) for about 8 years. When I bought it, it hadn’t ran for a long time. We did all the pipework, fluids, and the all important head gasket of course ?, electric were all fine. Car ran brilliant, only thing which tripped me up was the fuel gauge wasn’t functioning… told me I had half a tank when she was bone dry, that was a fun day!
Had many adventures but sold her on a good while ago. Just as well, because it’s the first thing my ex wife would have taken off me!
Anyway - I want to dip my toe back into the crazy world of Lotus ownership ..read more

And... It was pretty dull. 2014 Evora S IPS and a few things struck me: - the auto is ok, pretty good for a regular car but too slow for a sports car, and I didn't like the way it's implemented (the gear indicator is small) - the exhaust is too quiet - the cluster is fairly bad (hard to read the speed etc)
I had driven a N/A manual with an upgraded exhaust and it was a much better experience (except for the shitty shifter). Conclusion : I think I'd need an Evora 400/GT to be satisfied, and probably manual.
Next step : try an Exige ?
