Saturday sees the Magpies on the road again, facing Vincent Kompany's Clarets at Turf Moor in an old-fashioned, non-televised 3pm kick-off. The rear sections of the away stand at Turf Moor are now configured as safe standing areas, in use as such for the first time at our game on Saturday. Those in sections 16-20 will receive a wristband once through the turnstiles: a process which is expected to slow down entry for all travelling fans. NB: random ticket ID checks continue to be carried out by NUFC at all away games, adding to the possibility of delays. Our advice: get there earlier. Eddie ..read more

Forgive me if posted elsewhere but Matt has his HGB licence iframe Apparently it's so he can't drive his wife's horses. Horses are expensive but it's kinda down to earth he's gonna run her around not just pay someone to do it Statistics: Posted by Colback's Orange Tufts — Sun Apr 28, 2024 4:19 pm — Replies 1 — Views 106 ..read more

Fouls and Yellow cards

Just watching QPR v Leeds. Gnonto just tried to slide tackle a QPR player. He missed and it was his first foul. But in this day and age it's classed as yellow. And he received one. My question is... Do you prefer how the game is played now where any strong challenge or missed tackle could be met with a yellow card or go back 20 years when more leeway was given? Posting early as I'll be travelling over in the morning. Newcastle's penultimate PL home game of the season sees them host the Blades on Saturday. It's an old-fashioned, non-televised 3pm kick-off, with the visitors selling their entire 3,204 allocation. Chris Wilder's side need to avoid defeat to prolong their relegation fight, although a draw would leave them needing a mathematic miracle, or Nottingham Forest having their points deduction increased after appeal. Team: Nick Pope, Miggy Almiron, Joelinton and Kieran Trippier are still sidelined but could yet play some part in our remainin ..read more

Newcastle return to Premier League action on Wednesday against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. It's a non-televised, 8pm start. Team: Joe Willock will play no further part in the remaining games this season, as he recuperates from an achilles problem. A similar decision looks to have been made with back injury victim Lewis Miley. Callum Wilson has now returned to full training and is set for a place on the bench. He's netted two of our last three goals away to Palace in the PL. Nick Pope, Miggy Almiron, Matt Targett, Joelinton and Kieran Trippier are still sidelined, Sandro Tonali remains ..read more
