Recently acquired this from a fella that passed away. Not sure I‘m going to keep it. Doesn’t appear to have been shot at all. I have an old Auto Ordnance and a SA Champion Operator. There just ain’t much I like about this Remington. The trigger is the worst I think I’ve felt on a 1911. The safety is uncomfortable as heck. My other two have extended safeties. I have a collection of Chip McCormick and Wilson Magazines that I use along with my Colt mags in my 1911 Colts. I really didn't notice it until now, but when I feed my McC and Wilsons into my Remington Enhanced RS1 and Kimber Desert Warrior, I have to struggle to release the slide stop. If I use Colt magazines in them, no problem. The Colts take and release the McC and Wilsons with no problem. And when I use the Kimber or Remington mags in their appropriate 1911s, no problem. just got a brand new Remington 1911 R1 SS from KYgun on Monday, the ejector of the pistol won't take a bullet neither empty shell out. Just know that it is the RemArms that owns the Remington guns. try to call the customer service, get a auto replay that they can't receive a call this time.
