Every month, we FTP over 200 files from the mainframe to a Windows server and it can take from 8-12 hours. Many of the files are very large and have to be split for the FTP. We are able to compare record counts (expected and received) and a few of the files have incorrect record counts and must be re-FTP'd. It's usually less than 50 records per file and happens to a random 2-10 files.
We tried limiting the number of FTP stream from 5 to 3 but that had no effect.
Where would be the first places to research to identify the cause? Reftp is a time consuming process because of the numerous large ..read more

Dear friends
I would like assembling an SMP/E module from its assembly code. The current assembly code is in appropriate target zone in an ASSEM entry, which ASSEM entry created by an APPLY command which creates a FUNCTION type SYSMOD also
++FUNCTION(IMSA242) DESCRIPTION(ZNONLN ENTRIES).
++VER(P115).
++JCLIN TXLIB(SMPJCLIN) /* CREATING OF ENTRIES */.
And now I would like assemble the DFSRCTEA SMP/E module from the appropriate ASSEM entry. For this I created an USERMOD type SYSMODE with the DFSRCTEA module..
++USERMOD(IMSA243) DESCRIPTION(ZNONL MODIFICATION).

Is it critical to use Librarian?
The Librarian is a version control system and source code management software product originally developed by Applied Data Research for IBM mainframe computers. It was designed to supplant physical punched card decks as a way of maintaining programs, but kept a card model in terms of its interface. During the 1970s and 1980s it was in use at thousands of IBM mainframe installations and was one of the best-selling software products in the computer industry.

What I'm trying to do with the list is separate out all members that have been updated since a specific date. Is there a better way to do this in Librarian than FTP a member list and sort?

We have a library with over 5000 members. I want to send the list with its version date to a dataset. I know how to copy a member to a sequential dataset but how do send the member list to a dataset?
