Great comeback by the Iowa ladies last night, in beating UConn, to get into the national finals against South Carolina. Behind by over a dozen, and looked like they were totally out of it at halftime, didn't commit a turnover in the second half until less than 8 minutes to play. Well, its about time we discussed the Men's Hockey Team. A program with a great historical past, but has absolutely sucked since the whole Big10 reorganization and pulling out of the WCHA. I actually just realized that I was at the semi-final and final games, when the Badgers last won the NCAA Tournament in 2006, it was in Milwaukee. Can they do it again this year? Okay! It's a small win. Getting to the final 4 in the Big 10 tourney. But it's better than it looked about 3 weeks ago, when the wheels had already fallen off the bus, and it looked like it was going to crash. If Gard just lets these guys play their offense, and quit tinkering with it. He's old school. They should play his defense, which is solid, and then turn them loose to score. It's really for all the marbles in the Big 10. If the Badgers do beat Purdue, it will give them a two game lead based on record, and if they end up tied in losses at the end of the year, the Badgers win because they'd have won Sunday's game in Madison.
