Series even now under the Arch The St. Louis Blues did what they needed to do while they were in the Mile-High City. They earned a key split. Now the round two match-up shifts to the Gateway City. Most pundits and Vegas look at St Louis as the underdogs. After game one, it sure appeared that way. St Louis was out-played, out-matched, and out-gunned. They allowed 41 shots in the first 60 minutes while only taking 26. Yet the Blues were able to force overtime. It was in the extra session that the Avalanche talent took over, taking 13 shots and netting the winning tally. ST. LOUIS, MO – DECEMBER ..read more

Blues Cage the Kraken The St. Louis Blues came into Thursday night’s game on a 12 game home points streak. The Seattle Kraken had lost seven in a row. Pavel Buchnevich made sure both streaks stayed alive. The Blues also came from behind for a league-leading 13th time, breaking a tie with both the Colorado Avalanche and the Florida Panthers. Blues becoming complete team. Beat Oilers 4-2 Since 1998, the Blues have faced five expansion teams at home for the first time and won them all, with the last being against the Las Vegas Golden Knights, in 2018. Defeating the Kracken made it six. The blues ..read more

Kyrou shines with 11 points in five games. The thermometer read Minus -8 at puck drop. Jordan Kyrou got a thermal scan before the game started and he broke the scanner. He has been red hot for the St. Louis Blues as of late and that streak continued under the stars at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After missing seven games (including three that were postponed) because of an upper-body injury, Kyrou has announced his return with a sonic boom. St. Louis Blues center Jordan Kyrou celebrates with teammates after scoring in the second period. He had two goals and two assists in the perio ..read more

Is Marco Scandella the new Zach Sanford? Blues Fan Enemy #1
St Louis Fan Report

Has Scandella replaced Sanford? Last season, the Blues faced adversity almost from day one. While many thought St. Louis could challenge for the Honda Western Division title, the losses mounted up. Just like every fan base, we all look for somewhere to pin the blame. In 2021, Zach Sanford was the culprit. This season Marco Scandella has taken his place. www.usatoday.com  Marco Scandella blues-agree-to-terms-with-Scandella-on-131m-4-year-deal Zach Sanford  Photo by Francois Lacasse/NHLI via Getty Images             While no one player is ever complete ..read more

The Blues’ Spetsnaz Line attacking the league The Blues’ all-Russian line features Ivan Barbashev, Pavel Buchnevich and Vladimir Tarasenko. (Tom Pennington / Getty Images) I am a big fan of the 1980s and 90′ techno-thriller books and movies. In many of these books and films, the Russian Spetsnaz, or special forces, were the antagonist. They were an offensive force that caused chaos and havoc for the protagonist. Vladimir Tarasenko and his newly formed linemates, Ivan Barbashev and Pavel Buchnevich, are doing the same thing, only now we consider them the good guys. Many in the fan bases of th ..read more
