Hello All,
My first post on this great forum, I am repairing a FHF 66-9 movement from an 50's Accurist Shockmaster Watch.
I need to replace the setting lever spring which is broken.
The calibre is also known as a FHF 665-9.
I have searched extensively on the net but have come up with nothing at present.
What I am hoping to find out if anyone knows a source for the part and or the actual full part number other than just 445.
Or is there another FHF calibre which maybe uses the same spring. I...

I posted this in the public forum earlier, but I think I might get better responses here. Here’s the post:
Earlier today I discovered that one of my watches was magnetized. I demagnetized it and then decided to check my other watches using Lepsi. One of my watches that has a soft iron core/cage for magnetic resistance indicated that it was magnetized on Lepsi. I spent quite a bit of time trying to demagnetize the watch with my $10 blue demagnetizer, but Lepsi still indicates that it’s...

ITS ALIIIVEEE!!!! Well… not really, it is very much dead, but it will be ALLIIVVEEEE! Soon I hope. I found a really good genuine Rolex 15200 case, built for the Role 3035 movement and a really good genuine Dial and crystal for the watch. The only thing I’m missing however is the movement. As we all know, 3035 movements and any Rolex movement sell for more than the watches themselves which unfortunately I don’t have enough money for, but what I can do is see if I can build my own...

My father-in-law‘s estate included some pocket watches. I am no expert in servicing mechanical watches but feel more inquisitive when it comes to pocket watches. These two appear to use the classic safety device of allowing the hands to set by pulling a lever after removing the crystal bezel, except neither seems to have a lever. I can only suspect they were broken off by earlier owners.
it might be possible that just the tip of the lever is snapped and a useful portion remains hidden below...

Crown broke off at the stem. Can still wind the watch with the crown because it's indexed with the stem, just can't set the time/date.
Replacements are $15 plus shipping, but are out of stock until late June. So I was thinking that since I have no choice but to wait, why not attempt to JB weld the stem to the crown?
Best case scenario it works until I get my hands on the replacements (if even...
