I have inherited a Roy C King watch. It's a gaudy piece made of 18 carat gold with diamonds and sapphires. The watch hands are loose and one end of the strap is broken. I'd like to have the watch restored to working order. Would appreciate a recommendation for a vintage watch restorer. I'm in northwest London. Thank you!

Hi all. I'm asking for some help for my mother actually. She has a ladies gold watch that was given to her for her 21st. (around 60 years ago).
She would like to give this to my daughter for her 21st. The watch has no real value other than sentimental, and hasn't worked for a few years.
Can anyone recommend someone who could repair this and get it working again in the London/Surrey area???
Thanks all!  ..read more

Hi
I have 3 Avia Swissonics that have decided to stop working all at the same time for some unknown reason.
I have tried new batteries and the watches will run for 5 to 20 seconds if I pull out the crown and then push it back in again.
Can any one recommend a repairer in the UK please

Hello all. Recently purchased a BB58 and much to my chagrin I didn’t wind the crown at purchase. I waited a few days before trying it on at home and to my disappointment the crown was stiff as a board. Took it into the AD and they told me it “was normal”. Went to another AD, they told me it wasn’t normal and sent it in for repairs. I just got it back. The winding is less stiff but no way as smooth as my BB41. Does anyone have this problem ..read more

Afternoon all,
Need some help on an ETA 251.272
I am trying to repair for a cousin and will be more than happy to bring his MontBlanc Summit Chronograph 7060
He did some painting work with it and got some varnish in it (dial, stem). I was able to cleanup the Dial and removed the stem. Now trying to get it functional!
I already got the technical data on all the all set including some electrical testing. I am however unable to test as requirements are outside of my tooling. I was able to identify and replace a dead coil. However I have no idea how to know if circuit or other compone ..read more

i have his and hers (ie hers and my) tag 2000s from a couple of decades ago which both eat batteries.
now doing annual changes and guessing that either the quartz movements need servicing or indeed to be replaced.
don't feel like sending then to tag as they will want an arm and a leg or two.
so who do we like for this work ? - no cosmetic work required although bodging some form of replacement pip one of the bezels might be an option.
the watches will never be sold so just need a like for like swap to have a functioning pair of watches and a bit less ear ache from the boss.
any suggestion ..read more
