On the fence if I should keep or sell my 2009 lancer ralliart. Reason is I have bills/loans I would like to pay off while buying a cheaper vehicle for now. Having fun with this car. So far best vehicle I owned. submitted by /u/OfficialCreeMaskwa [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

3g eclipse reliability and maintenance

I am picking up a 3g 2000 eclipse with 2.4 4g64 and automatic transmission. I traded a friend for the car. Going to be my commuter only have about $600 invested. It has 80k original miles but has been sitting off and on a lot. I am wondering what the reliability of this engine and transmission combo is, a little worried about the automatic transmission. What maintenance should I do to the car? I am going to assume basically nothing has ever been done apart from oil changes. submitted by /u/_This_is_the_way- [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

2017 lancer wreck

My last post got quite a few comments so I thought I’d update. Body shop quoted me 6-8k for the repairs said the support beams got fried because the impact went to the sode. It’s a 2017 lancer with 136k and they couldn’t really find any salvage parts for it. Not a great thing to happen to a first car you haven’t had for a month. submitted by /u/bucks9052 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Which do you think was the better partnership for Mitsubishi Motors?

Their partnership with the Chrysler Corporation began in 1970 and Chrysler brought Mitsubishi's vehicles into the US branded under Dodge, Chrysler, and Plymouth before Mitsubishi entered the US Market in 1981 and sold vehicles under their own brand, and eventually led to the creation of a spin-off division called Diamond-Star Motors in 1985 until 2015 when Nissan Motor Group purchased a stake in Mitsubishi in 2016 joining their alliance known as the Renault-Nissan-Mitubishi Alliance which they are still in today. Is this sound as bad as I think it is?

To me it sounds like something might be wrong with the pistons, but I'm new to this sorta stuff and have no idea why it's acting like this. Could it be that I just need more gas? I put 2 gallons in it and it starts up no problems usually. submitted by /u/Dependent-Rent3 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
