I am picking up a 3g 2000 eclipse with 2.4 4g64 and automatic transmission. I traded a friend for the car. Going to be my commuter only have about $600 invested. It has 80k original miles but has been sitting off and on a lot. I am wondering what the reliability of this engine and transmission combo is, a little worried about the automatic transmission. My last post got quite a few comments so I thought I’d update. Body shop quoted me 6-8k for the repairs said the support beams got fried because the impact went to the sode. It’s a 2017 lancer with 136k and they couldn’t really find any salvage parts for it.
