My Internet lately has been too slow to watch video but sounds interesting. Indigenous Bolivians claim share of sunken Spanish cargo Members of three South American indigenous communities have filed a legal request to share any proceeds from the sunken treasure of a Spanish galleon if it's recovered. Colombia wants to claim the wreck and its contents but the indigenous peoples say their ancestors mined the metals. Lucy Fielder has more. Click to expand ..read more

1891 was first target. Then wondered around trails digging mostly clad. Accidentally found a geo catch, eventually got on the elusive hammer Roosevelt clad dime... and a silver rosey before quitting. It was 50 and raining ? and just yucky out. But at least I got a few silvers for a birthday ? present. It's the only site I've dug 5 different silver dimes. Canadian dime, 2 seated dime, 3 barbers, a mercury dime and a 1953 rosey. It deserves more detecting, but maybe when it's not so wet ..read more

I found this inside a very heavy rock in eastern ky. I find lots of metal in rocks right in my yard but most contain iron oxide. This had none and I can’t cut or break into it so far with any rotary tools or sledge hammer. It’s just too cool not to wonder what it is. Looks sort of like melted metal that hardened with impurities from certain angles. It’s my best find in a while ..read more
