I am new to the PC scene, this is my first PC which I had built recently. I have done some research and discovered that by default, RAM often does not run at full speed and that enabling EXPO will allow your PC to run faster. Build is as follows: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7800X3D Mobo: Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX RAM: Corsair Dominator Titanium 32GB 6000MHz DDR5 SSD: Lexar NM790 NVMe SSD, PCIe 4.0 2TB Cooler: Lian Li GALAHAD II LCD 360 AIO ARGB PSU: Corsair RM Series RM1000e V2 ATX 3.0, 1000W I have just enabled Expo 1 profile in BIOS and now my PC is very noisy like the fans are running at full tilt cons ..read more

Got the 7900 X3D with the 7900 XTX for my first build. It was cheaper than my first option, the 7800 X3D. Did I make a mistake?

I have the 7900xtx, is the 24.7.1 driver version okay for those who have updated it? Especially on ow2, fornite and siege? Just want to know if I should update it because I don’t want to go through the trouble of ddu-ing my drivers and rolling back like with 24.6.1. submitted by /u/Training-Fill157 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

AMD CPU (Ryzen 7 7800 X3D) Temperature Concern

My newly built machine is running much cooler than it was after a reconfiguration of my fan placement, but should I be concerned about the fact the CPU hit over 100⁰C for brief periods? It would do so for like 5-10 seconds and then the machine would power off. Now, the maximum it hits is closer to 86⁰. I have heard this CPU runs a bit hotter than previous models, but is there reason to be concerned about damage? submitted by /u/Tech-Dork [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
