Recently got some Briggs n little hertitage wool in a beautiful shade of pink. Was wanting to make a cardigan, shrug, or bolero type of thing with it. Does anyone have any favourite patterns they'd like to share? Aiming for free or less than $5 CAD. Thanks! :) submitted by /u/youronlyhippie [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Help finding pattern My mum crocheted 20 of these squares in the late 70s early 80s for a bedspread. I’ve now been gifted the squares and wondering about adding a few more to make it larger - but does anyone recognise the pattern? It’s a long shot but maybe I’ll get lucky! submitted by /u/FroGlow [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Please remember to share a link to the pattern that you are promoting itself. Remember to talk it up, tell people why you chose that pattern this week. Say if it's a beginner, intermediate, or advanced pattern, clothing or amigurumi, quick to work up or will take some time, whatever. Just share info about the pattern you're promoting. Also, remember to only share a link to your pattern and not to your overall shop. If people like what they see, they know how to find the rest of your shop from there. Thanks and good luck! submitted by /u/AutoModerator [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

I was teaching an intermediate i.e. "pattern reading" class the other night and somebody brought up a pattern they couldn't understand--it was a baby blanket made from a giant granny square. I told the woman frankly, "There are about six dozen ways to make a granny square--did you know that?" She had no idea. "I'm going to teach you my way--it will look almost exactly the same as this one, but the square will always end at a corner, and you won't have to slip stitch over any stitches. Does that make sense?" "Oh yes! I get that so much better!" I like my granny square. I ch 4, 2DC ch 2, (3dc c ..read more

I'm fairly confident that I could recreate it without the pattern, but I'm stuck as to where/how I should increase (or decrease? maybe it's worked from the bottom?) to make it a proper poncho. Does anyone have any advice? Or, if you have a working link to the watermarked artist's current shop (non-English is fine), that would be welcome as well ..read more

I don't know her activities that well. I know she runs. She's not very high matinenance as in make up and prep but she's not like me who is a no make up/jewelry free/high comfort type of person. Shes a teacher, is a dog person, has 2 girls under 5 so I don't want to make something that willbe stolen from her in the end. I'm coming up blank beside maybe face scrubbies? Any ideas? Please! Intermediate beginner, worsted weight and preferably free cause I'm broke. submitted by /u/Illustrious_Dan4728 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Does anyone know of any patterns that would be similar looking to this? I am obsessed with these shorts and while I think they are totally worth the price, I also think it would be fun to make a pair. submitted by /u/rinwinn [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
