It’s been five years since the Republic of Ireland legalized abortion, and government data has revealed the nation has seen thousands of abortions per year since then.
Earlier this year, the Health Service Executive (HSE) indicated that at least 17,820 abortions occurred with 6,577 and 4,577 notifications of abortions from medical professionals between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2022. In 2019, the year after Ireland passed pro-abortion legislation, the number of notifications reached 6,666 – a number that the Pro-Life Campaign (PLC) reportedly said: “was not lost on lots of people.”

Rachel O’Donnell was 19 years old when she was told by doctors that due to a more serious case of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), she would never be able to have children. Twenty-four years later, she was given a shocking miracle when she learned that not only was she pregnant, but the abdominal pains she was experiencing were actually labor pains.
“I was told I would never be able to fall pregnant,” O’Donnell told 7NEWS. “It was never even contemplated that I could possibly be pregnant.”
But at 43 years old, O’Donnell found herself in the hospital — with what she thought was a gallbladder i ..read more

Talia Battista is a survivor of sexual assault and abuse, and as she told National Review, while she was an undergraduate student at Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan) in 2017, she found hope in a Facebook post for a campus event called “Self-Healing Through Yoga.” For Battista, it meant the opportunity to connect with other survivors and access a resource for healing. But after attempting to sign up for the event, Battista was disallowed from attending… because of her stance against abortion.
As the Ryerson leader of Toronto Against Abortion, Battista spent time each week in one of ..read more

Several doctors are being hailed as heroes after aiding a premature baby, born on a flight from Nicaragua to Miami.
Seventeen-year-old Abigail Amoretti was just seven months pregnant when she unexpectedly went into premature labor aboard the flight. And though her baby was born breech and was not able to breathe on her own for the first three minutes after birth, both mother and baby made it through thanks to some fast-acting doctors on board.
Dr. Raquel Rodríguez of Nicaragua and Dr. Suamy Bermúdez of Honduras were two of the doctors who aided Amoretti.

In 2022, Target announced it would cover the travel expenses of employees who live in pro-life states and who choose to travel out of state for an abortion. According to CNBC, the policy took effect on July 1, 2022, a week after Roe v. Wade was overturned, allowing states to determine their own laws on abortion.
While abortion advocates celebrated the hugely popular chain store’s decision as ‘pro-woman,’ pro-abortion policies like Target’s are about the company’s bottom line.

Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo (R) has signed a bill into law which adds to the state’s protections for abortion.
Senate Bill 131 was signed Tuesday, and codified an executive order from the previous governor, Steve Sisolak, which banned state agencies from investigating people traveling to Nevada from out of state for abortions. It also prevents medical governing boards and commissions from disciplining abortionists. This means that an abortionist who has been disciplined in another state can still practice in Nevada.
The executive order was put into place by Sisolak just four days after Roe v ..read more

According to FactCheck.org, abortion is “sometimes medically necessary” in “life-threatening complications” despite “Facebook posts claiming otherwise.” The article attempts to paint social media posts from Live Action — in which medical professionals discuss why induced abortion is never medically necessary — as inaccurate, but the fact-check is ultimately unsound.
FactCheck.org’s claim
FactCheck.org wrote, “[A] Facebook post from the anti-abortion organization Live Action says, ‘Abortion is NEVER medically necessary.’ The post includes a video by neonatologist Kendra Kolb saying that even in ..read more

In an essay published by Time about the elective abortion of her second child, abortion doula and clinic worker Hannah Matthews attempts to conflate two ideas: love for a woman who is having an abortion, and support for her decision to have that abortion. She also attempts to claim abortion is an act of love — but intentionally killing a human being is not a loving act.
Matthews explained that she chose to have an abortion after she became pregnant with her second child shortly after giving birth to her first. She said her son had not yet taken his first steps and that her health and finances ..read more

Minnesota’s recently-passed budget is ending a program which has provided millions of dollars in aid to pregnancy resource centers (PRCs) since 2005.
Lawmakers in both the House and the Senate passed the budget on May 22, and are now awaiting its signature by Governor Tim Walz. Within the bill is the repeal of Positive Alternatives, a grant program under the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) for “life-affirming organizations offering support to pregnant women.” According to Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life, the program offered $3.357 million annually to pregnancy resource centers aroun ..read more
