I liked the gameplay of B3 a lot and logged in a lot of hours but the anointment grind just sucked the fun out of the game for me so I quit. Based on that experience I didn’t buy TTW when it released. Out of boredom and against my better judgement I bought TTW when it was on sale. I max leveled my character. Completed all the quests. Completed all the challenges and found all the dice etc… Once I did that I started to level up my chaos level. One of the major downsides of the intensity of Takedown of Guardian Breach is how easy it is to ignore the dialogue of Scourge, which as it turns out is connective tissue for The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 3. But that’s only possible because of all the world building done in Nyriad’s Eridian Writings about the Guardians that at first felt off topic and out of place to me. You know when you love someone but it’s time to just give up and bounce? That is how i’m feeling with this franchise. Yes a 8-9 year old game was amazing. And Bl3 did many things right…But always seemed to fall a little short. Well TTW makes that game a classic. Just jumped in to get to Chaos lv 36, was already bored. Just starting a new character in BL3. I had forgotten just how tedious the dialogs we can’t skip can be after the tenth time. Listen to speech, run here, do this, come back, listen longer blah blah blah. Kind of wondering if TTW follows that same pattern… Gbx, get a clue. So I’m curious what people’s thoughts are on incrementally better class power vs. much better rolled sub stats on class mods? For instance: My gut is to go with the class power upgrade but my old item has so much better sub-stats for me. Having quit B3 long ago after being burned out with the asinine anointment farming I’m not gonna lie i was a bit excited to see this new “re-roller”. It didn’t take long for me to see this is no solution. I don’t know if the rolls are weighted to give a higher chance at the worst anointments or what but the doubling orb cost mixed with the apparently low chance of getting even a useable (let alone good) enchantment makes this system really, really disappointing.
