Quote from: Radiant on Yesterday at 23:06:56Please specify how and when the new version bugged out on you, so that I can fix it. Thanks! The game froze, and I had to alt-tab to get out of it. It did this a couple of times in mid-play, with no pattern I could see so far. It could be a memory problem at my end, perhaps? I was running multiple other apps in the background. I may try later today without the "noise" to see if the same thing happens ..read more

The Last of Us Part One was the first game that made react aloud at the screen. It was such a beautiful story that gave me hope during difficult times. I was in homeless shelters for two years and it was tough. I deeply believe that having played the game gave me a strongly instilled hope that there would be light and positivity at the end of the tunnel. And there luckily was. It was also the reason I wanted to make games and in somehow influence people in a positive way. I know it all seems a bit corny. I have no problem with productivity but have a guilty conscience. I mostly struggle wit ..read more

Alyx is the one single game that proved to me that VR as a medium has the potential to elevate tired old genres like first person shooters into something really new and interesting. For me the greatest revelation was the interactivity of weapon reloading, how different weapons have different mechanics and how the simple act of changing magazine on a pistol can become a whole minigame unto itself when ..read more

I'm planning to play all the games this weekend, likely on Saturday, and will be streaming and recording the attempts as well. For the devs it might be a chance to see someone play their game live, and for people who are "too busy" to play for themselves, they might be able to see the games, get a feel for them and maybe even provide additional votes. I'll post a link and time in the AGS discord later ..read more

Press F7 in AGSEditor to generate a fresh build. Look inside the Compiled folder and you'll find a Windows folder. In there is the game's exe, winsetup.exe and all required resources. You can now rename the Windows folder to the name of your game, then right-click it and add it to a new zip folder. Share the zip file, it contains everything people need to run your game on Windows ..read more

Well, at the time, I found the plot twist in The Wicker Man (1973) very suggestive. While the film's construction around the missing girl and the mysterious behavior of the islanders might seem relatively predictable, towards the end, the true reason for the akward protagonist's presence is suddenly revealed. And some small gestures of redemption (such as the seduction by the landlord's daughter) take on a new meaning beyond directing suspicion towards the peculiar "pagan" customs and beliefs of its inhabitants and/or their leader (masterfully portrayed by Christopher Lee ..read more

Quote from: RootBound on Today at 00:24:07The editor deletes outdated versions of the game from the compiled folder automatically, so if you make changes you'll have to compile it again. I'd like to clarify this, Editor does not delete outdated exe, it deletes game exe in Compiled/Windows whenever you run a test (with F5). This is an old problem and I won't delve into details on why is it doing this here (but we have a TODO for fixing this). The solution is indeed to do Build -> Build EXE before distributing the game ..read more

Good to see another game from you! As usual, high quality. And the story is hilarious! I love how you find inspiration for stories like these, opening up unknown areas of life (unknown to me, at least) and  making tall tales of them. The limited setting make the puzzles easier than they would have been as part of a larger game, but it doesn't matter. They are well thought out and fun to solve. The bickering between the characters brought them to life, too. Their flaws define them and give them character. I also like how their character traits bring them into trouble, but also offers solu ..read more

The editor deletes outdated versions of the game from the compiled folder automatically, so if you make changes you'll have to compile it again. There's a build EXE icon near the you of the editor and an option in the dtop down menu too. Then it should show up in the compiled folder... until you make more changes to the game.  ..read more
