A question about Cogito ergo sum

I've had this question on my mind for a while now, but I was slightly afraid to ask it since it's probably a ridiculous notion. My understanding of Cogito ergo sum (I think therefore I am) goes like this, I am thinking and therefore something whether that be a brain in a vat, a simulation, or maybe a demon is controling my mind etc., But at the very least something is there doing the thinking. The only problem I have with this and I know this may sound illogical and maybe it is, but isn't it possible that our own logic (human logic) is incapable of actually imaging the true scenario.
