I currently have a Samsung H61S1 MP1.0 motherboard and its current bios is 04js, I was new to computers and bought an intel xeon e3 1220 v2 cpu, because i had an i3-2100, and i thought it would work on my computer because it had the same slot which is LGA 1155. Then when i changed the cpu it booted but there was no display at all, black screen, and then i switched back my old cpu, and researched and found out that my motherboard is only a sandy bridge and the xeon cpu is an ivy bridge and that i needed to update my bios but i couldnt find the website of the manufacturer which is samsung electr ..read more

Hello forum members, I am currently investigating if there are spots on the internet, where people that deal a lot with repairing motherboards hang around, since I am on the lookout for a replacement for a specific IC on my motherboard. Maybe this is one of these places? Anyways, to be more specific, I am looking for an IC that (I assume) controls/drives the LAN port. The name written on it is: REALTEK 8111H L51GJ21 GL21 Click to expand... Looking for these on vendor sites is close to pointless, since there are very many variations of this kind of chip. I assume that the driver needed t ..read more

Connecting multiple webcams to a USB expansion card ?

I wanted to connect an additional webcam (30fps webcam) to the motherboard's PCIe slot so I purchased an expansion card (DM847). However, a timeout error occurs when using two or more webcams on expansion card . While searching, I learned that host controller and data bandwidth are important. But I still don't know exactly what technical specifications I should look at. I don't know if it's possible to operate 4 webcams with a card plugged into the PCIe x1 slot. Additionally, the product specifications below say Camera Interface: Data Bandwidth 4. I am curious as to whether it is possible ..read more

I was assembling a new system with 14th Gen i5 on MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 motherboard and 4 x 16 GB CORSAIR Vengeance LPX - DDR4 RAM. When I booted it took some time with the red LED on mobo coming up momentarily followed by the orange one which stayed for some time then the white led which again for some time, but the system booted. I changed the boot order and saved and restarted and all was fine. Then I plugged in my Windows 11 USB and it was installing. It seems something happened with USB so after the system restarted it kept on saying that I needed to restart and install it again. I ..read more

I have a 13600k and a I wanted to get a good mobo for the z790 chipset. I bought the MSI Z790 Tomahawk Wifi Ddr5. I know the max variant had an issue with the pcie lanes from cpu going to nothing but is that the same for this board? I was told if my board has the common ethernet/doa issue I should change it for the Asrock z790 Riptide Wifi (ive never bought Asrock so im kinda worried). What do yall think? My budget was 220-230. If there is another board please recommend it, its still sealed and within return window so I can exchange. Build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qVywvj ..read more

I have an Asus motherboard that is a bit old, but still serves me well. It's a M4A87TD/USB3. I have an AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 Processor. I do some photo editing and the latest upgrade for my photo editing software recommends MMX Support, which I do not have right now. Can I replace just my processor with one that supports MMX or do I have to also replace the motherboard ..read more
