Vote - your OVF player of the season

I know it's been a disappointing season, but I thought we should run a POTY vote on here. The criteria is simple - a player must have played 20 League games (either starts or on as sub) to qualify. So there's no bias, for the vote choices I've put every player who has played 20 times in alphabetical order (even though clearly some have no chance of winning) The vote will close in a week's time ..read more

Throwing away two goal leads

No doubt that ultimately Moore was responsible for throwing away Two goal leads versus both Fleetwood and Exeter at home. On hindsight had Vale kept those leads intact Vale would have survived. How the hell does the owner give a five year contract to a man who can't ensure a team struggling at the bottom can't kerp a two goal lead to Mediocre sides at home!! Let's have none of this 'Moore didn't inherit the squad BS' Enough of the excuses, which are on behkf of our incompetent owner ..read more

Pre season fixtures

Firstly apologies to all those Ive peed off on the forum, it was nothing personal just pure frustration for the club I love !!!!! My point is even at pre season I was concerned at the poor recruitment which may have been masked by the quality of the routine pre-season friendly’s - Newcastle town, , kidsgrove etc. I understand that this brings in revenue for the local non league teams but shouldn’t we be playing a higher standard as a bench mark to the for coming season ..read more

Today hopefully Sam will secure promotion to the Premier League having been voted Ipswich Town’s player of the season. It seems an age ago since he was at Vale and was left out in the cold by Micky Adams. Although MA was a fantastic manager for Vale, shunning Morsy was his biggest mistake. Well done Sam hopefully he’ll get a congratulatory text from Micky later ..read more
