I used to like AMD gpus, I'm not that active in gaming any more though. Lately I come across more and more news that AMD's GPU business is not sustainable, and they can't compete anymore. What do the enthusiasts think? Would you buy a AMD gpu now? Is it possible that they don't have a future? AMD's gaming graphics business looks like it's in terminal decline There's no getting round it, the Radeon RX 7000 GPU family looks like a disaster. www.pcgamer.com ..read more

The last MSI AMD card I had was the RX 580 8GB. It was a solid performer back then. Seems like MSI AMD cards turned to garbage the last few gens from reading what others have said. I certainly won't miss them. Besides, as they exit the AMD GPU market Acer seems happy to take their seat at the table. https://news.acer.com/acer-expands-...dator-bifrost-and-nitro-series-graphics-cards ..read more

Before I link Pedro's review, I have a few points to rant about. I have the MERC version of this card in my present collection. 1. it's been 6yrs and there are still only ones of games where RT is arguably worthwhile. Beyond reflections, many can't tell it's even turned on. Even then it's hard to tell. Atomic Heart released and some twitter shills were showcasing the RT reflections that had been advertised. Of course it didn't launch with them, and it was planar reflections LULZ! I use RT with it no problem. Usually only reflections because shadows look worse in most games IMO, and it makes o ..read more

XFX DD Radeon R9 280X Black 3 GB Corsair Dominator Platinum 16 GB AMD FX-6300 3.5 GHz 6-Core Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Those are my current specs. Haven’t gamed on a PC for quite a few years and getting back into it. I don’t play modern AAA titles or need max graphics. Just random games on steam, mod halo campaigns and stuff like that. I plan on getting the FX-8350 cpu and another 8GB of ram. I’m looking for input on GPU’s. Leaning towards the RX 5700xt for performance at the price point. Is it too much for my system though? I’ll listen to all recommendations and advice ..read more

For anyone with an ASRock RX7000 GPU, ASRock has released a pretty interesting app that helps set up AI by taking a lot of the guesswork out of the process. There is a link on their forums here: https://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=26992&title=new-tool-to-set-up-ai-quickly-and-simply From what I have seen it seems to support all the major AI backends, including Stable Diffusion (which I use a lot). The section on ASRock's forums for the app seems to be actively supported by the app developers so that is pretty neat too ..read more
